The wines of Vivanterre are produced in the Auvergne region of France by Patrick Bouju and Justine Loiseau, and founded by Rosie and Max Assoulin, with the support of renowned sommelier Cedric Nicaise. Using organically and biodynamically farmed grapes, vinified using natural processes, and untouched by any fining, filtering, or added sulfites, Vivanterre reflects the “Living Earth” from which it comes.

Orange Contact SGU is a blend of 30% Auxerois, 30% Pinot Blanc, 20% Gewurztraminer, 10% Ugni Blanc and 10% Grenache Gris grapes.

The Auxerois, Pinot Blanc and Gewurztraminer grapes are sourced from Alsace — the Auxerois and Pinot Blanc from Rosenwiller from an organic and biodynamic vineyard with clay-limestone soil and 50 year old vines, and the Gewurztraminer come from Heiligenstein from 35 year old vines.

The Auxerois and Pinot Blanc were co-fermented and aged in Foudre. The Gewurztraminer was fermented separately, and aged in both stainless tanks and Amphora. All three varietals were macerated on their skins for 3 weeks. The Grenache Gris and Ugni Blanc are from the South of France near the town of Pinet, and were co-fermented and aged in fiberglass tanks and on the skins for 2 weeks.

There was no fining, filtering, or SO2 added during any phase of winemaking.

De aankomende 3 weken is het even geen WIJN bij HENK, maar WIJN bij SJANNE! Jullie kennen haar wellicht wel van restaurant Fermin waar ze gastvrouw en (natuurwijn)sommelier was. Sjanne staat voor jullie klaar van woensdag t/m zaterdag (let op, op zondag zijn we dan even gesloten) om jullie te helpen en te adviseren. In de tussentijd tankt Henk even bij op het strand in Mexico en is op 5 maart weer terug met hernieuwde energie! 😊☀️

From Piemonte, Italy.
Some restock of shop favorite Bianca, a light orange wine of Cortese, Chardonnay Malvasia Moscata, and a new arrival of : Rosso 68, a blend of local grape varieties Barbera & Ruchè from Piemonte. We tried this one at a tasting in Amsterdam last week and loved it.😍
Both are truly delicious at the moment.
