Let's talk about Safety Tips for Pressure Pots✅✅

A pressure pot is a very helpful kitchen tool. Imagine having your beans cooked to butter consistency in just 15 mins? Rice in 10? Tough meat and skin? It cuts down your cooking time by close to 90 percent.

As useful as it is,it can cause serious injury if proper precautions are not taken. It usually comes with a manual which every one ought to read before use but Incase yours doesn't or you don't have the time,let me share a few tips.

❤️1. Never,ever force open the pressure cooker till the pressure indicator drops. All cookers have a form of indicator. Your manual will show you where it is. Mine is a red button at the top.

If you are in a hurry,you can take the pot to the tap and run cool water over it to hasten the cooling process. Once it drops,it's safe to open.

❤️2. A pressure cooker is not a deep fryer don't use it as such. Also read the manual to know the type of liquids the pressure cooker can take.

❤️3. Stay away from the steam.

❤️4. Don't leave the pressure cooker unsupervised

❤️5. Don't overfill it.

❤️ 6.Once the sealing ring(a rubbery ring on the cover) is worn out,replace.

❤️7. Clean off all food particles after use and store in a cool,dry place.
