Guinness Nigeria is deeply committed to promoting the welfare of its employees by equipping them with the necessary resources to effectively manage the delicate balance between work and personal responsibilities.

Acknowledging the diverse circumstances and individual requirements of our workforce, we understand that each person seeks an environment that enables them to thrive in their own unique way. Recognizing this, we refrain from enforcing rigid guidelines that are meant to govern such varied situations.

Instead, we embrace the concept of Flex Philosophy, which serves as a guiding framework and a set of principles. It facilitates open discussions between employees and their line managers, allowing them to collaboratively determine the working arrangements that best optimize their potential and enable them to deliver their utmost performance.

Did you know that approximately one billion women worldwide experience menopause? It's a natural phase of life that every woman will go through, and we believe it's essential to normalize and embrace this experience.

At the same time, we are committed to fostering a truly inclusive culture where all our current and future talent can thrive.

To support our employees and line managers who are thriving through menopause, we have developed comprehensive menopause guidelines. These guidelines aim to raise awareness and provide valuable insights to employees and line managers who are experiencing menopause or those who may know someone going through it. By generating understanding about the impact of menopause, both in the workplace and at home, we can create a more supportive environment for everyone.

Our commitment to supporting those going through menopause goes beyond mere awareness. We provide practical support and flexibility to ensure that our employees feel valued and empowered during this phase of their lives. One way we have approached this is by organizing webinars, hosting panels, and facilitating conversations with external practitioners and subject matter experts. We have also showcased inspiring employee stories on our digital channels, and we actively participate in World Menopause Day to keep the conversation alive and ongoing.

Join us in our journey to create a workplace that celebrates diversity, normalizes menopause, and supports all individuals in their personal and professional growth. Together, we can build a culture that enables everyone to thrive.

WATER FOR PEACE: HAPPY WORLD WATER DAY!
Today, as the world celebrates World Water Day, we reflect on our journey of water stewardship in Nigeria, which began with the inception of Society 2030: Spirit of Progress and the ambitious goals outlined in that strategy.

We are proud to announce that Guinness Nigeria has not only met but surpassed our F26 water replenishment target. This achievement underscores our commitment to responsible water management and sustainability.

Additionally, our Water Efficiency metric (brew & pack) has shown significant improvement, from 4.5l/l in F20 to 2.4l/l by H1 F24. This means that for every 1 litre of product we brew and package, we now use 2.6 litres of water in its brewing and all associated processes. This represents an impressive improvement of over 53%.

Furthermore, we have commissioned 11 solar-powered motorized water projects across 11 local areas, further demonstrating our dedication to providing access to clean water in communities where we operate.

Yes, we are on a journey, and we are conscious the road ahead is largely uncharted, we are nonetheless super proud of how far we have come, please join us as we raise a glass of clean, potable water to celebrate this year’s World Water Day.
