In 2019, when I intentionally chose Abia state for my National Youth Service Corps, my goal was clear: to immerse myself in the vibrant city of Aba, renowned for its craftsmanship, particularly in shoemaking. After the camp period ended, I navigated my way to Aba, eager to experience firsthand the essence of their craftsmanship.

In the heart of Aba, amidst the bustling streets and the rhythmic hum of artisans at work, I found myself enveloped in a world of creativity and skill. I sought out mentors, eager to learn and retrain myself with the age-old techniques passed down through generations.

Under their guidance, I honed my skills, learning the intricacies of shoemaking from stitching to finishing touches. It wasn't just about crafting footwear; it was about understanding the soul of each pair, infused with the spirit of Aba's artisans.

Through hard work and dedication, I gained valuable experiences and forged connections that would shape my future. And it was in this vibrant city that the seeds of Diox-Classic footwear were sown – a tribute to the craftsmanship and heritage of Aba, now making its mark beyond borders.
