क्या आपको मालूम है कि जिस दिन जम्मू कश्मीर से 4 लाख से अधिक हिन्दुओं को भगाया गया वह तारीख थी 19 जनवरी 1990,
उस दिन केंद्र में विश्वनाथ प्रताप सिंह प्रधानमंत्री थे, जनता दल गठबंधन की सरकार थी।असली राष्ट्रवादी बीजेपी के समर्थन से सरकार बनी थी और चल रही थी।*

उस समय अलगाववादी नेता मुफ़्ती मुहम्मद सईद देश के गृहमंत्री थे जिनकी बेटी महबूबा मुफ़्ती हैं।
उस समय जम्मू कश्मीर के राज्यपाल बीजेपी नेता जगमोहन थे।
उस समय वहां राज्यपाल शासन था जो कि केंद्र सरकार के अधीन होता है।
