As per (the) prediction(s) of the Indian Meteorological Department (Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India) (on 25 June 2024), the "S.W. Monsoon-2024" is progressing as expected, and by 15 June 2024, the whole of West Bengal would be completely 'covered' by it. We can expect the onset of "Monsoon-2024" in northern West Bengal within the next 10 days (maximum).

This year - due to the onset of 'La Nina phenomenon' - April-July 2024 would be hot and quite uncomfortable in (northern) West Bengal, but the period between July 2024 and September 2024 would witness excessive rainfall (which might lead to flooding at different places)...
