A big thank you from all at Callan’s of Park Street

We are closing our long-standing Off-Licence tomorrow Sunday the 6th of January. We will open for the last time from 2pm to 5pm. With Callan’s having spanned three generations, we would like to formally take the opportunity to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all that have played a part in the Callan journey at 40/41 Park Street. From long standing loyal customers which were the core of our business to a fantastic supplier network and supportive neighbours and staff over the last 8 decades we could not have done it without you. The journey has been exciting, challenging and while sadly it is at its end, it has served us with both many lasting memories and amazing relationships with so many that we now call friends. And so, we say a massive thank you to each and every one of you that have been part of the Callan’s 77 Year Journey.

Each Christmas we hear some jokes that we’re like Santa and we LOVE this compliment. 🎅 🎅

Why??

Because we’re the ONLY place in Dundalk (possibly the North East) that customers find those difficult to find bottles and so we put a smile on faces that have struggled to find specific presents, fancy Christmas desserts or Festive cocktail ingredients.

Our customers regularly comment on their amazement at the breadth of our product range. This is something we’ve been very proud of in our 77 years in business. Unfortunately as we close our doors we hope you are not left disappointed for Christmas 2019. So if you feel there’s something you may be looking for in the weeks and months ahead do pop in and replenish the drinks cabinet.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our valued customers a very happy and healthy Christmas season. This has been a very different Christmas for the Callan’s but one that was made easier by the wonderful good wishes and encouraging words from such valued customers as you all. For this we are forever grateful, so thank you for taking the time to call in and wish us well.

We’re back to work tomorrow December 26th and will remain open through the festive season to see you sorted with a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages after which we will be closing our doors for the last time.

For now we’ll leave you on this Christmas night with a picture a close friend took of the sun setting on Callan’s Off-Licence for its last Christmas Eve. We hope you love it as much as we do.
