This evening, while running across the road to collect bags at our shop, at 6.15pm, I dropped my iPhone. The phone was picked up, turned off. FindMyPhone has located the phone in Gandon Court in the building on the left of the picture. I would appreciate If the person who found this mobile could return it to Power & Smullen Wine Merchants Unit 1 Main Street, beside Fresh & Fruity. The phone is black with a black protective cover. The phone is used for work. Thank you. Peter

Some of the Sparkling wines to be shown during our 25 October 2023 Wine Fair, at Saint Andrews National School between 7pm and 9.30pm next Wednesday. Tickets are available at the shop for just €20 and at the school. Reds, whites, rosés and sparkling wines. As many as 50 wines from the all over the world will be presented on the night. It's a fun tasting evening, an occasion to be meet up with friends. Delicious treats and nibbles will be available on the night. Open to all. The event is part of the annual fundraising activities organised by the PTA.

This year’s wine tasting evening will be held at St Andrews National Primary School, Lucan, on October 25th, 2023 at 7pm. As many as 50 wines will be presented on the night! Sparkling, White, Red and Rose! If you feel peckish or like to taste wine with food, the PTA is organising a buffet with lots of tasty options! It can be a fun evening out with your friends or an opportunity to discover new wines or vintages. Wines producers from Italy and France will also be showing their wines. Tickets are just €20. Proceeds will go to the school to finance projects.

Leo’s Elixir is back! When Raphaël Midoir asked me “Do you want to taste my Touraine ”, I thought to myself “not really” fearing a tannic, thinner and drier version of a poor Argentinian Malbec, but ended muttering “Sure, why not?” What a surprise! On the nose it displays rich aromas of fresh currant, violets and stewed blackberries. In the mouth, it is rich and complex, with a long finish. The wine deserves cellaring but can be drunk now. Drink at 16 degrees with a red meat or a game.

Our collection of sparkling wines is expanding. We have added a Crémant de Loire Rosé and White from Raphaël Midoir along our Vouvray La Chataigneraie Brut.... the wines are on special for €22.50 down from €27.50 for the Raphael Midoir, while our Vouvray is priced down from €29.95 down to €24.95.
