OUR GERMAN JESTER⁣

This is Guido, our new brewer from Cologne in Germany 🍺🇩🇪.⁣
⁣
He’s even wearing the ‘Fool’s Cap’ from the Cologne carnival, and a medal from the carnival club ‘Kölsche Sonnekinder’🃏🏅.⁣
⁣
But Guido is nobody’s fool 🙅‍♀.⁣
⁣
He brewed Kölsch for the Radeberger Group for 27 years, then switched to Pfaffen Brewery in Lohmar, near Cologne in 2021 📍.⁣
⁣
So, there’s a great deal of knowledge and wisdom under that cap - as well as a mischievous sense of humour 😉.⁣
⁣
He’s been with us only since last month, and we’re delighted to have him 🙌.⁣
⁣
His favourite Stags 🙋‍♀?⁣
⁣
Stag Stout and Stag Bán ⚪🖤🟢.⁣
⁣
And we’re sure we’ll be having long conversations about what really makes a perfect Kölsch - even if an umlaut is still a rare sight in West Cork 🤔.⁣

20 YEARS A GOIN’⁣

Tomorrow is a significant milestone 🙌 - and no, it’s definitely not a millstone 🙅.⁣

Gordon and Sinéad will be twenty years hitched 🎊.⁣

These two could be described as the twin hearts of 9 White Deer 💞.⁣
⁣
You know, like the glamorous crime-fighting duo from that 80s series with Max the butler, and Freeway the dog 🥂🐕.⁣
⁣
Only with slightly less glamorous craft brewing, accounts, and stocktaking instead 🤨.⁣
⁣
And no butler 🛎️.⁣
⁣
Still, as the brewery has been running for just over half that time, we do have our Stag mascot, who doesn’t solve crime but does look mighty fine 🦌.⁣

To many more anniversaries of marriage and the finest beer from West Cork 💪.⁣
