Domaine d’Eugenie was founded in 2006 by Francois Pinault, owner of Chateau Latour, and named after his grandmother. To build a top Burgundy domaine, he bought vineyards from René Engel and renamed Domaine d’Eugenie. Under the management of President of Chateau Latour Frédéric Engerer and experienced winemaker Jean Claude Briottet, their wines keep improving and are known for their purity and depth.
Vosne-Romanée Clos d’Eugenie, a tiny monopole owned by Domaine d’Eugenie, is a hidden gem neighboring La Tâche(see map below). The production is small (Between 1,000 - 2,000 bottles per year). 🌟Praised by Allen Meadows as "very good for its level," we’re pleased to offer this exceptional wine—don’t miss out!

𝙅é𝙧ô𝙢𝙚 𝘽𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙤𝙞𝙨-𝘿𝙞𝙖𝙯, a 4th-generation vigneron in Crouttes-sur-Marne, crafts biodynamic Champagne on 7 hectares of clay-limestone soils. Certified by Demeter since 2015, he grows Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, and Chardonnay, averaging 35 years in age. Hand-harvesting follows Pierre Masson’s lunar calendar, and a traditional Coquard press ensures gentle juice extraction. Native yeast fermentation occurs in stainless steel and neutral oak, with minimal sulfur use. Jérôme’s precise blending highlights his dedication to traditional winemaking.

Founded in 1858, Domaine Robert Arnoux is a family-run estate and currently owns 14.5 hectares of some of the most prized vineyards in Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges, and apart from a small plot of Aligote, all wines are red. They built a reputation for themselves when Pascal Lachaux became fully in charge of the winemaking back in 1990 and subsequently took over the domaine when his father-in-law Robert Arnoux passed away in 1995. The Domaine was then renamed to "Arnoux-Lachaux" in 2008; and passed down to the family's sixth generation, Charles Lachaux, in 2012.

A young and emerging star in Vosne-Romanee, Charles Lachaux is a disciple of Lalou Bize-Leroy (of Domaine Leroy) and he follows similar practices of Lalou and takes on a more empirical approach rather than a scientific one.

😍 In a tasting of their 2018 vintage, Winehog's Steen Ohman said,

Romain Hénin brings a fresh perspective to champagne production, drawing on his experience with renowned winemakers like Sébastien Mouzon and Henri Giraud.
Romain converted the entire estate from organic to biodynamic farming. Without additives or sulfur, the styles focus on expressing the richness and aromas of Champagne's terroirs, resulting in structured and identity-driven champagnes that reflect the character of the Aÿ terroir.

This page is the official page of Burgundy Cave Limited. We are a Hong Kong-based wine merchant with a focus in Burgundy wines and Champagne. Having a network of over 50 suppliers and domaines across Europe, we offer our wines at great prices and ensure the provenance and quality.

We will use this page to share our latest news, offers and knowledge on Burgundy wines and Champagnes; and also our founder's journeys as he sets out to find good wine on the other side of the world! About our Founder - Alexander Choy has long been fascinated by the extraordinary history and workmanship behind every bottle of wine since a very young age. His father used to work in France and often brought back dark green bottles of red, white and sparkling "juices" which were off-limits to minors. He finally enjoyed his very first glass when he hit the legal drinking age and there was no turning back. Not long after he went to university but the most time he spent reading was not his lecture books but books about wine. After graduation, he spent years working for commercial giants but soon enough he decided to pursue his passion and started to work in the wine industry and also created his own wine blog in 2013. He was very fortunate to have had the chance to work for one of the most renowned Fine Wine merchants from the UK and from there learned to appreciate Burgundy and Champagne wines; and thanks to his blog (HK Wine Blog - http://hkwineblog.net), he has been invited to visit a number of wineries across Europe, further broadening his knowledge of wine. From his years of tasting and knowledge of wine, he fascinates Burgundy wine the most as only Burgundy wine offers the best style and character ranges. Also, the fact that the grapes in just a few metres' difference in vineyard can already be offering different flavours means the level of workmanship required to maintain the quality of each batch of Burgundy wines is just absolutely remarkable.
