Join us this Friday and Saturday in our Basingstoke shop between 12 – 4pm for our annual Winter Showcase.
The store will be filled with all our team’s favourite wines and spirits for you to try, in a complimentary walkaround tasting. We’ll also be joined by Tomatin, Cotswolds Distillery, Hambledon Vineyard and Exton Park. It’s the perfect opportunity to try something new and pick up a bottle or two for your festive feasting.
Earlier this month on 11th November, as part of our 325th anniversary celebrations, we hosted a very special dinner with collectors, colleagues and members of our family in Hong Kong. As part of the dinner, we hosted an auction of fine wines.
There were some incredible lots, with wines coming from our Family Reserves, and the cellar of former Chairman Simon Berry. The final lot though was the most special of all. A Berry Bros. & Co. bottling of 1868 Lafite Rothschild, belonging to former Chairman – and father of our current Chair - the late John Rudd.
All proceeds from the sale of this single, historic bottling will be donated to our company charity, My Name'5 Doddie Foundation. We were therefore over the moon when the bottle sold for over £25,000 – a fitting close to a wonderful evening.
