As a not for profit organisation, all income is for the benefit of Members via the improvement of services, provision of information, grants and facilitation/promotion of training (grant funded wherever possible). The Association promotes its Members via the website; social media channels; quarterly newsletter and a variety of professional and social events, both in the UK and overseas. The Assoc

iation uses its group purchasing power to facilitate discounts on exhibitions, market research, insurance etc. The Association is a Department of Trade Trade Challenge Partner for various exhibitions around the world, enabling eligible participating UK companies achieve grant funding. We also partner with other Associations, helping Members benefit from grants at their discounted Member Management fees. The Association’s free of charge Business Advisory Helpline, run by Croners, is particularly useful to small companies who would normally have to pay for advice on VAT, Tax/PAYE, Commercial/Legal matters, Health & Safety. The Association communicates with Members via e-groups, disseminating information, statistics, export leads on a regular, if not daily basis. Do not underestimate the benefits of networking in business. Being proactive about building relationships is often perceived as a personal skill, but it’s far more. A large and diverse network of contacts will increase the sales of your company, whilst saving time and money. EVENT ALERT - CELLAR TO SELLER KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER EVENT!
Loughborough Conference Centre, Holywell Park, Loughborough - 10th September 2024 - 9.30am - 4pm

Cellar to Seller is hosting a one day knowledge exchange, aimed at brand owners and cellar service technicians, both experienced and new to keg dispense.

The day will share knowledge and information, aiming to develop and strengthen the cellar service technician network and educate new to keg brand owners of their responsibilities.

Alongside talks and presentations, dispense sector manufacturers, suppliers and installers will showcase their products and services via a table top exhibition. Contact [email protected] for sponsorship opportunities.

The day will benefit from 1 day/6 hours’ worth of CPD points and a CPD Certificate of Attendance will be given to all attendees.

Sessions include:

· A review of the recently published BBPA 6th Edition of the Pressure Code of Practice.

· A session aimed at new to keg brand owners, explaining what they need to know in order to ensure their beer is right for the outlet and the practicalities of how to access the primary dispense system.

· A Q & A session for new to industry technicians, providing an opportunity for newer cellar service technicians to ask questions, learn the common faults, develop a network of peers for future consultation.

Cost of attendance, to include digital copies of all presentations, tea/coffee & pastries during breaks and lunch is:

£55 + VAT – Member/Brand Owner Rate
£75 + VAT – Non Member/Non Brand Owner Rate

There is also the opportunity to “Pay It Forward” and act as host for new to industry professionals and colleagues.

The dispense sector is niche and very much unseen by the wider industry and consumer yet it is the point at which the quality of product can be most at risk.

This event enables industry to better understand its responsibilities in terms of the primary gas dispense system, improve knowledge for those working within it and develop a collaborative network for the future.

We very much hope the day brings industry together in order to strengthen best practice and quality from the cellar to the bar to the consumer.

Another Friday, means another tour! Thank you to Ridgeview Wine for hosting us and our members for a guided tour and wine tasting last week. It was a fantastic day viewing all parts of the winery, including the cellars, it helped that the weather was kind to us when we explored the vineyard.

What better way to spend a Friday afternoon out of the office. BFBi took some of our members on a tour of Bombay Sapphire Distillery last week, followed by a cocktail masterclass. Not only was it great fun and full of laughs, the tour was super informative and definitely worth the visit!
