Join us today from 4pm to 7:30pm to sample these two amazing wines from Sicily.

These wines are made by Cantina Europa, This excellent new red in the Sensale organic range is a wonderful example of soft fresh, peppery Syrah. The wine is matured in Amphora which allows a little oxygenation to take place and soften the tannins, but without imparting flavour (unlike an oak barrel). 

Established in the early 1960s, it operates as a successful cooperative. They have been pioneers in organic farming in the area for many years. This wine comes from their Sibiliana range, which are their organic wines.

This elegant Chardonnay is aged in stainless steel. Straw-yellow colour, with apricot aromas. It is weighty yet fresh on the palate. Drinks well with roast chicken or fried fish dishes.

The soft tannins and vibrant fruit mean that this wine can be served slightly chilled in the summer for a fresher style of red.

Join us for a Whisky Tasting & Supper In the warm & welcoming atmosphere of the Cherry Tree Café, on Friday the 24th of January 2025 at 7:30pm.

Our local Scottish Author Tom McCulloch will join us on the night to read the Ode to the Haggis & one of Eynsham’s own Morris Men will pipe the Haggis in for You.

Today we’ll have two exceptional wines to try, the beautiful smooth Astral de Château Puybarbe is a full-bodied red wine from the Côtes de Bourg region of Bordeaux, France (£13.99) and the Tenuta de Melo Gavi DOCG region from Italy which is certified biodynamic and exhibits aromas of fine mineral notes, apple, honey and candied lemon peel (£15.99).
