Tasting Tuesday with Nyetimber - what a treat to geek out and taste what goes into making world-class sparkling wines. We were blown away by prestige cuvee 1086; it might even sway TW Team from their favourite Nyetimber Blanc de Blancs.

For International Grenache Day we look to the one of Australia’s finest, Sue Trott and her own label, Five Geese. Her Indian File Grenache 2016 is from the sub-region of McLaren Vale known as Blewitt Springs. It’s higher aspect boasts longer ripening/cooler climate making for elegant styles. It was James Irvine many years ago that called McLaren Vale Grenache the Pinot d’Fleurieu. This single estate Grenache is from 80+ year old dry-grown bush vines. The style is enriched and complexed by whole bunch fermentation as well as the added benefit of decent bottle age.

We are so excited about this sparkling wine, new to Tilley's Wines, we love it already!

Diego and his team at have created this sparkling Gavi, using the traditional method (metodo classico in Italy), the same as Champagne. The bottle-fermentation has resulted in the creation of an elegant Gavi, brimming with apple and pear, a hint of peach and delicate ye**ty notes.
