🎉 Tonight, We Party! 🎉

To our lovely regulars and occasional visitors, we’re giving you a heads-up: we’ll be closed tonight as we take our hardworking team out for a much-deserved (and very belated) Christmas party.

In hospitality, Christmas isn’t exactly Silent Night—it’s more like All You Can Drink Karaoke Jamboree. We’ve spent December and beyond serving up cheer to professional-level merrymakers, amateur drinkers, and the occasional ‘I didn’t know this place existed’ hermits.

So tonight, we’re swapping aprons for party hats, cocktails for our kind of cocktails, and customer service for chaos (the fun kind).

Thank you for understanding! We’ll be back tomorrow, hopefully with some stories we can’t share and a team that’s just a tiny bit slower than usual.

💡 We Are Back On! 💡

Finally, after a power cut of 42 hours and 7 minutes (yes we’re counting the minutes so we can try and claim), we are back in business.

As a hospitality business, closing for two days at such a vital point in the month is genuinely quite crippling. So we’d love to see as many of you as we can this weekend and hope you can raise our spirits again. We will be open from 2pm through to midnight and 2-9pm tomorrow.

There will be mince pies to pass around, mulled wine and plenty of Christmas cheer. Bring your friends, cosy uo and get into the festive spirit a week before the big day. 🎅🏻 🎄

We’ve got a big day ahead of us on Friday. Firstly, the launch of the very much anticipated release of Steady Rolling Strata 🚀 An annual release from and trust us when we say it, this beer is BEAUTIFUL!

Available on draught and we have limited availability of cans, the 5.2% pale and also the whopping 8% DIPA. Drop us a DM if you want some kept aside.

We’re also having our annual Ska-lloween party with no other than celebrating Halloween with some Ska beats all night. Dressing up is optional, but is very much encouraged! 👻 🧛

It’s set to be a cracker of a day here at The Keep, so come on down and party with some Strata in your hand 🍻

DEYA are also running a competition so tag them with when sipping on your pints on the dance floor.

Ah, the calm before the storm 🚂

It’s time like this when I look at our little bar from outside and realise how far we’ve come in the 8 years we’ve been open. The first Bunkfest took us by surprise, but we’ve adapted over the years and the bar itself has adapted to accommodate the festival. We feel very much a part of the Wallingford pub scene and Bunkfest is a weekend we look forward to every year. We wouldn’t do it without our loyal staff so a huge shoutout to them. ❤️

Now, enough with the soppy post, let’s have a cracking weekend… and get slightly drunk 🥴 🍻

Not long to go now until Wallingford turns into one massive party town. 🍻🎪 begins on Friday and we’re gearing up for another bumper weekend of fun where we will have a full lineup of fringe acts and serving up some wicked cocktails and craft beer with the return of Bunka pale ale from 🍺

We will also be inside the beer tent offering our very own Bunkfest gin in frozen cocktail form or classic G&T form. The weather is looking perfect and we can’t wait to see you all over the weekend. ☀️ 🍹
