Good bubbles are a key element for a successful festive season, so Vincent Testulat’s Blanc de Noirs Champagne is Phil’s first recommendation. A fifty-fifty blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, this fizz boasts all the biscuity richness one would expect.
Among the whites, Englishman Alex Dale’s Vinum Chenin Blanc from Stellebosch stands out, together with Zafeirakis’ enticing Malagouzia and Teruzzi’s elegant Vernaccia di San Gimignano.
As for reds, Philippe picked the excellent value-for-money Carmenere One-to-One Estate Reserve from the Morandé stable in Chile, together with Pulenta’s Malbec One, and Château Bernadotte’s Haut-Médoc which will delight Bordeaux aficionados.
Now for the sweet wines, Philippe couldn’t resist Clos Lapeyre’s Jurançon ‘La Magendia’. Our GM loves his Petit Manseng and this particular cuvee is a superbe expression of that varietal.

New position available: Customer Sales Co-ordinator
We are recruiting for a new administrative role based at our offices in Dalgety Bay dealing with processing orders but also being the link between our customers (both trade and private) and the sales and logistic team.
You will be using a brand new IT stock system that will have just been installed.
If you have some wine knowledge it would be a plus however it is not essential as in house WSET training will be available.
Working hours can be flexible to suit lifestyle and work requirements.
Salary circa 30K depending on experience.
There is definitely potential for the role to evolve within a growing business.
