Wine & Roses Volume 1 Tempranillo now available at Danbury Wines.

A fresh and contemporary wine that hails from the Rioja region. Made from 30 year old Tempranillo vines with a small proportion of Graciano and Garnacha, the wine is a deep ruby in colour with notes of red berries and sandalwood on the nose.

The palate is intense and velvety with notes of blackberries, plum, a touch of chocolate and sweet spices from three months ageing in new French oak barrels. The finish is long and fruity.

This wine is the result of a project outside the Conceito framework itself. It is made from wine from fields outside the company's own lands. The bouquet is fruity and aromatic, towards fresh red cherries. Mixed wild berries, bramble and hedgerow fruit.

A blend of traditional rusticity with purity of flavour. Wonderfully ripe, soft tannins add depth to the palate. Racy. Overall, beautiful balance and length on the finish.

Bright raspberry and cherry on the nose with some hints of mint and mulling spices, delicate oak and a subtle slightly meaty savoury character, with a touch of stem giving it a delicate green herbaceous note which is in no way a bad thing. On the palate it's bright juicy fruit to the fore allied to subtle oak and again a slight green character, hints of cooked plum and spice.

Warwick Estate Trilogy has a rich and intense palate. Superbly concentrated blackberries and cassis show on the palate, complicated by aromas of sweet spices and savoury elements. The tannins are firm, but well-structured and will allow the wine to age gracefully over the next 5 – 10 years. If you just can’t bear to wait, a few hours in the decanter will go some way to helping the wine open up.

A great companion for most foods, including pizzas, pastas and meat or chicken dishes, or enjoy on its own.
