Picked up some lovely coffee down in Lymington, thanks to s brilliant video about buying great coffee I could decode all the bits and pieces on the bag rather than just grabbing the one I liked the name of 😁

That was also the inspiration for the 'decoding craft beer cans' section I did during my Introduction to craft beer tasting I did .... More events coming soon 🍻

New Beer Number 2!

Orangucan from

The guys from Borehamwood have brewed up a smashable pale ale which I'll be refilling this Saturday!

It is a tropical IPA. A taste of summer in a can - Our tropical pale ale is packed full of Passion fruit and Mangos and is brewed with Citra Hops for a lovely taste bud tingling taste of the summer.

NEW BEER!

The first beer on offer this Saturday at my pop up outside will be Doses from Duration.
It's an amazing Pilsner for all you lager lovers. I've wanted to get some on for some time as I ve had a few cases from them (all in the name of research obviously) and they are flipping fantastic!

Here's what they say about this beer...
Need a simple beer for straight up refreshment?
This classic German Pilsner is invigorating, deliciously dry and floral. Clean and crisp with accentuated German hops. 🍻👍♻️

Woop Woop! Found a wax supplier that uses recyclable paper bags for shipping 👍♻️🕯️

More CANdles coming soon and some more bottles 🤞 always a bit tricky cutting the glass bottles they don't always cut clean and take alot of sanding to make safe....but I think it's worth it 😁

Would you guys be interested in CANdles made from upcycled bottles?

Well I guess they wouldn't be CANdles then actually...

Anywho, I cut this bottle from and sanded the edge down so it's super smooth before filling with a wood wick and some lavender scented soy wax.

You like it?

Seemed a appropriate for a beer called Dark and Perilous nights to turn it into something that spreads a little light.

2 year ago I loaded up Hetty for my first pop up EVER!

It was at Greenfest in Hampstead Norrys and was an awesome event.

Thank you to all of you who have supported me over the last 2 years, it's certainly not been the smoothest of rides so I'm hugely grateful to all of you.

Also I have got slightly more organised when it comes to loading up Hetty for events..... slightly.

We had one correct guess from the story yesterday.....

Congratulations I will have a fresh keg of Suspended In Amarillo available on Saturday

The suspended in series is one of the highlights from they use this range to showcase individual hops and this hazy pale ale casts the spotlight on Amarillo.

Amarillo hops were discovered by accident, happily
growing alongside a cousin at Virgil Gamache Farms,
who own the exclusive growing right. Because of this
they can be quite hard to acquire, but remain highly
sought after due to the big flavours and aromas they
give. As the feature of our latest 'Suspended in...' brew,
expect big peachy and orange flavours with pine and
floral notes. A smooth mouthfeel is encompassed by
zest lime, orange and grapefruit flavours typical of the

SPORTSBALL!!

A traditional Kölsch yeast meets all German hops in this box office beer. The result is super clean, lightly fruity and pleasingly floral as our enthusiastic yeast goes to work accentuating the delicately bitter hops. Crisp, refreshing and plenty drinkable.

Just about recovered from an awesome beery day around Reading on Saturday 🍻

The Haunt is a cracking venue, will be visiting again for sure, awesome beers from of course and some lovely guest beers including the 10% massive piranha sour from which was superb!

On the way to and from the taproom we stopped in at for some superbly kept cask ale including the BIPA from & absolutely fan flipping tastic!

All this in the name of market research of course...🍻♻️

As hard as it is to believe I don't only drink beer, I do enjoy a good cocktail from time to time as well so I thought I would have a crack at making some clear ice.

There are loads of videos about this on YouTube, I followed one from Anders Erikson.

Basically fill a cooler with water, freeze that for 2 days with no lid on. Take it out and leave at room temp for half an hour, then turn out and all the air bubbles and impurities in the water will be trapped in the bottom half of the ice, then just start scoring and chiselling ❄️

Don't worry I kept all the cloudy ice for shaking or crushing.

Also if you want a good beer cocktail, check out Shaky Pete's brew from Hawksmoor, it's awesome 🍻

Popped into the for lunch today, the burrito bowl was amazing, just what I fancied.

Paired perfectly with a pint of the Kurupt BIPA from which is an absolute banger.

It's a beautiful day, so get down there and TREAT YO SELF!

New Beer just in time for the football 🍻⚽

This Saturday from 11-3 I'll be doing beer refills (you don't have to be a football fan to come and grab some beer!)

I've got a new England pale ale on from the wonderfully sustainable, closed loop brewery

I've also got some more of the organic light lager you enjoyed last time I was out and about from certified B corp

And of course my upcycled craft beer CANdles made with 100% soy wax and essential oils.

Amazing day out yesterday at the @hawkconservancy some incredible flying demonstrations and lovely to learn about the conservation work they are doing. I hadn't been for a while so was great to see them open again after lockdown and they did a great job of making us all feel safe with social distanced seating for the flying demos and a great system with coloured wooden blocks on the outside picnic tables so you could tell which had been sanitised. Highly recommended for a day out, the kids loved it. Thanks to everyone at the trust for all your hard work 👍🦅🪶🦉
