Look at the colour of this 2006 delight, but the taste is even better.
Rich and complex!

Château de Meursault Clos du Chateau, Bourgogne chardonnay 2006, is a delicious and historic treat.

The wines of Château de Meursault are known for their delicate aromas and flavours. This Chardonnay has notes of candied fruit, honeysuckle, apricot, peach and citrus. The mouth is fresh, and gentle with good richness and tension on the finish.

If you are looking for a truly special wine, I highly recommend this one. You will not be disappointed.

Hospice de Beaune . November is a time to give thanks. For wine lovers, it's a time to give thanks for the legendary Hospices de Beaune wine auction that has been taking place in Burgundy, France since 1859.
Hospices de Beaune charity wine auction, the largest wine auction in the world, is the highlight of a larger event known as Les Trois Glorieuses jours de Bourgogne, or The Three Glorious Days of Burgundy, which always occurs the third weekend of November. Created in 1443, the hospice cared for the regions poor and destitute.
This bottle is made from the juice auctioned at the hospice on a very limited run of 150 magnums or one barrel of wine.
Pretty special absolutely delicious!

We are just holding onto the last of the Summer relaxed vibes. A couple more holiday bottles waiting to be drunk.
Travelling back through French at its peak grape harvesting time was a fascinating time. The Burgundy wine industry felt at its busiest and most industrious.
It would be rude not to sample a bottle or two whilst in Beaune. This Marsannay was a refreshing change to our two weeks of drinking Provence Rose. A chilled Marsannay from Domaine Trapet was extremely welcome & delicious on our 1000mile road trip back home
