Sparkling into February! 💕🍾Sometimes we taste a new wine and it surprises us, this is one of those! A perfect Valentine fizz, this exciting Sparkling Shiraz hails from Southern Australia, where they have a tradition of crafting terrific sparkling red wines.

Produced by Majella Wines, one of the most awarded small Australian wineries, family owned in the famous Coonawarra wine region which is home to some of Australia’s greatest wines.

How does it taste? Ripe, soft, luxurious. Vibrant dark fruit flavours of blackcurrant, plum, damson, very soft tannins with a hint of port sweetness. Enjoy this red chilled, all year round. Perfect for a valentine’s dinner, works well with spicy foods, try it with Lebanese cuisine, a hearty beef chilli or a rib eye steak.

Beaujolais Day continues to be celebrated globally, with winemakers racing to ship their bottles to wine shops, bars, and restaurants around the world in time for the stroke of midnight. In France, festivals include a tasting contest, fireworks, and music.

“Primitivo is a favourite grape variety of mine and the Lirica Primitivo, from Manduria, has absolutely everything I love. Made from 50 year old bush vine fruit it has lashings of dark berry fruit, a hint of balsamic and a touch of creamy oak.” Mark

Sunny cool autumn days call for a warming glass of red. This fantastic Lirica Primitivo is rich, rounded and delicious...a perfect autumn red. We tasted this terrific wine this week, with our customers , near Bridport. Perfect with a rich, hearty or even spicy stew or enjoyed by the fireside after a brisk autumn walk! An M&B home favourite and highly recommended. 🍷

We have some exciting news to share with you! Morrish & Banham returns to its family roots under the 100% ownership of Mark Banham & Caroline Morrish.

We are delighted to be back and we will concentrate on what we do best; finding great wines, telling you the story behind them and delivering them to you with personality and a smile. Our range of wines at the moment is small but beautifully formed, so bear with us. New exciting wines will arrive every week, so we'll keep you posted.

We will offer online sales only for the time being, supported by wine tasting events, dinners & frequent pop-up wine markets at venues in Dorset. For the first time we are also offering an M&B “at home” wine tasting service, for 10 people or more in your home or chosen venue.
