Well that’s been a hectic few weeks with markets up and down the country, corporate orders, international orders and all those lovely customers who came and visited us in the shop. The new single cask releases from

The previous 2 went like cat up a drain pipe so we made sure to get a few more this time!

The first is a first-fill Bourbon hogshead drawn from cask number 352, filled on the 30th June 2016 and bottled on the 27th of August 2024 at just a smidge over 8 glorious years old with an outrun of 305 bottles at a natural cask strength of 62.8% ABV.

The second has been drawn from a Sherry Butt originally filled on the 12th of March 2015 and also bottled on the 27th August 2024 at 9 and a half years old… an outrun of 653 bottles at a natural cask strength of 60.8% ABV

Glenallachie's Oldest release to date

The whisky aged in the three Pedro Ximénez hogsheads ( #5896, #5897, and #5898) was distilled on 7 June 1989 and contributed flavours of poached plum, muscovado sugar, and heather honey. The whisky aged in the two virgin oak casks (barrels #2152 and #2153) was distilled on 3 July 1989 and it added more heather honey and elements of cloves, treacle, nutmeg, and pomegranate. The whisky aged in the oloroso puncheon (cask #5587) was distilled on 7 July 1989 and brought notes of cinnamon, dried red berries, dark chocolate, and nutmeg.
