The nights are drawing in and the holiday season is fast approaching...but don’t worry, Winter just got a whole lot more palatable with the launch of our Cat in the Glass Advent Calendar 2024!

In true CITG style, we are offering four different styles of beverage advent calendars this year, helping you count down to a holly jolly Christmas with a little help from some of our favourite drinks from some of the best producers on our shelves right now. Each calendar will come in a high quality festive calendar box, with 24 items of liquid goodness hidden away behind its 24 doors:

Pick from one of the four calendar options below -

- the beer box
- the apples and pears box
- the best of both box
- the bespoke box

Orders must be placed by Friday 22nd November and will be dispatched from Monday 25th November.

We are absolutely enthralled to be able to bring this to all of you! 🥃

Next Wednesday, 6th November, we will be joined by our Friend Adam Wells as he takes us and you on a tasting of 5 of their beautiful Whiskies and join in conversation about them 🤝

Waterford as a distillery focus on the terroir of the greatest grain in the world and the main reason we love whisky - barley - so the 5 whiskies that we will be exploring will be the best showcase of that:

- Single Farm Origin – Hook Head
- Single Farm Origin – Grattansbrook
- The Waterford Cuvée ‘Koffi’
- Biodynamic Cuvée Luna
- Heritage: Goldthorpe

🎉 Next month marks our 4th birthday and we can hardly believe it! Time has flown by and we’re so grateful for the journey so far. A huge thank you to all our friends, family and incredible customers for all your support - we couldn’t have done it without you!

It’s with a heavy heart that I write this after hearing of Susanna Forbes passing. As co-founder of Little Pomona, a highly regarded drinks writer and a true legend in the cider world, Susanna was not only a peer and a friend but also a constant source of inspiration to so many of us. Her support and encouragement were invaluable to me personally, especially with The Cat in the Glass. She was always there with a kind word, thoughtful insight and boundless enthusiasm for what we were all working towards. She believed in me, even during times when I doubted myself and her boundless enthusiasm always lifted my spirits.

Susanna had an incredible gift for making everyone feel valued. No matter how busy she was, she always made time - offering advice, sharing her knowledge, or simply cheering you on. Her generosity and warmth were unparalleled and she had a unique ability to motivate and inspire everyone around her.

Her passion for cider and the people behind it was infectious. She leaves behind a lasting legacy—not only through the incredible ciders she helped create but through the countless lives she touched with her kindness and spirit. The cider world and the world beyond, feels a little emptier without her.

I am heartbroken at her passing and will miss her deeply. Susanna was truly one of the most generous, kind and remarkable people I’ve had the privilege to know and call my friend.

My thoughts are with James, her family and all who knew and loved her.
