GLENFIDDICH 26 YEAR

Tasting note

Appearance: deep gold.

Nose: soft, delicate. Spring, the attack on the palate is marked
by notes of white lilac, lily of the valley and sweet peas.
When aired, it develops on white flesh fruits (pear, peach).
Gradually, aging in bourbon barrels highlights its vanilla and
spicy character (pepper, nutmeg). It continues on green malt and cut hay.

Palate: complex, balanced. The attack on the palate shows a very pleasant herbaceous
and malty bitterness. Very quickly, however, the mid-palate is particularly
fruity (pineapple, banana) and creamy (coconut, almond). The aftertaste is
finely woody and licorice. The whole is very harmonious.

Overall: long, warm. At first glance, the spices have gained in power (cloves, curry),
which gives the finish a lot of depth and tone. In a second step, it returns
to its areas of predilection, namely: fresh fruits (apple, plum) and white flowers.
The retro-olfaction is vanilla and chocolate, and the empty glass is malty and
plump (bay leaf, sage).

distilled between 1987 and 1997. It is drawn exclusively
from oak casks seasoned with Oloroso Sherry.
An exceptionally high proportion of these are first fill,

inspiration for its name ‘OSCURO’, meaning ‘dark’ in Spanish.
