We have just booked an Airbnb in Ukraine’s capital, Kiev with no intention of staying. But why?

We spent £130 for a 2 night’s stay in a spacious apartment and are in contact with the private owner. His accommodation is being used to home fleeing families where their own homes have become destroyed or unsafe to live in. The money goes directly to him and is used for heating, electric and food etc.

There is a ton of properties on Airbnb which start from £23 per night. Booking and contacting the private owner is a quick sure way to get cash into their hands without the costly overheads that charities have plus Airbnb are not charging fees for these type of transactions.
