This Friday come down to the 1st of our 'Pre friday night tastings'... Zero Six Brew Co will be doing some tastings of their two new beers between 3pm and 6pm, all nicely timed to fet your friday night plans underway

I Chai A - Green Tea, Lychee and Watermelon Pale Ale at 4.5% abv, this won the recent tasting night blind tests at Cork and Hop and more recently at 'Crafted in Space' at the Leicester Space Centre

Fructus - Raspberry, Peach and Lemon Pale Ale at 4.2% abv, came a very close second and is a refreshing crossover pale

Vlaams - 5.9% abv - belgian red ale with sour cherry now available in bottles, cherry bursts and unmistakably Belgian

It is well and truly BBQ weather.. so pop down to Cork and Hop for some local crafted ales and ciders..

We have some gorgeous new stock in from two more Midlands breweries who are producing some excellent beers

'New Invention Brewery' in Walsall

We have a stunning Cherries and Berries Fruit Pale ale - fruit forward beer that is absolutely perfect for day like today - 5.0% ABV

A nice refreshing Blueberry and Vanilla milkshake IPA weighing in at 6.5% ABV

And for those DDH fans we have the Alchemy 586 -- Hazy Citra Pale ale - staple and citrusy

'Shiny Brewery' hailing from Little Eaton in the Shire of Derby

Mystery Molecule which is a DDH with new world hoppage of Citra, Galaxy and Rakau - 5.2% ABV

Okay I Pull Up - Double dry hop central again with a generous serving of Citra Mosaic and Simcoe the US th*****me

Belgian night tonight at The Cork and Hop and there are only a few tickets still available for what is a very special night for any beer enthusiast.. you will be tasting a beer that cannot legally be sold in the UK (some do and the prices reflect that) but we wont be....

It is widely regarded as one the best beers in the world the Westvleteren 12

7 to 9pm and bar opens at 6:30pm as well as after

New beer from Zero Six Brew Co the Belgian Red Ale sour cherry 'Vlaams' in cans for the first time

Also new stock of the brilliant Tynt Meadow and equally sublime 'Blonde' from Mount St Bernard - which is in very short supply i am reliably told

To top that all of in some style we have the brewer himself from Mount St Bernard Ross Adams joining us tonight for our inaugural event at The Cork and Hop (tickets only though sorry)

But the bar will be open afterwards at 9:30pm

New Beer klaxon... its coming very soon, in fact its bouncing out next Friday the 23rd of February..

Belgian red rye sour cherry - weighing in at a healthy 6% - such a beautiful colour..

For us this is even more exciting and progress to a stage we have wanted to reach for some time, canning our own beer as an addition to our range..

The tough job of tasting has passed with flying colours so its full speed ahead

They will be available in The Cork and Hop as of Friday 23rd February before anywhere else !!!

We are open this Friday 11am - 6pm in the day to come and have a look at the range of local beers, wine and cider... and this will be our fixed opening hours until summer..

Far far more exciting than that though is our first event next Friday 23rd Feb hosting the wonderful Mount St Bernard Abbey brewery, the producers of Tynt Meadow - it's going ro be a great night and there maybe even 1 ticket left for anyone quick enough !!

We have a variety of other breweries and vineyards lined up, but in true democratic style we want to hear from our followers...
