As requested, this is how looooong we are closing over the Christmas break. When you guys are on holiday, I’m on holiday.

I know some of you will be devastated with the news but hold tight and don’t lose hope. A refreshed (after a long break me) is easier to deal with than an overworked one 😂. Enjoy the holidays and spending time with your loved ones cos that’s all I’m going to be doing!

Normal service has finally resumed.

There are some changes to protect everyone.

- Wear a mask unless exempt
- Max 4 people at any one time,
- Keep your distance whilst in-store, no breathing down someone's neck
- I ain't shaking hands, fist bumps and elbows only
- Door handles etc are sanitised on a regular basis

Due to our store closing in March we have stock that has expired which has been heavily discounted, fill your boots whilst stocks last

Hopefully the final update....

We started a gradual return to work last week to get things cleaned and sorted for reopening. This coming week we will be stepping it up with longer opening hours and the start of us restocking. Frozen and chilled goods will be coming back into stock.

We will be ready for the big move in well before the 19th

*** COVID 19 update *** July 2020

We are still closed and will be for the foreseeable future. This is mostly due to the lack of students

We’ve made some progress in getting the store ready for when we do come back with a new improved counter and a deep clean of the store

**** Corvid 19 update ****

As the government issue more social distancing rules and more businesses shutting their doors we’ve decided to do our bit and close ours. Our trade has decreased significantly as universities are closed and we rely on this trade. It makes no sense to put ourselves and others at risk.

This is the earliest we’ve ever closed and I foresee us being closed until September which is a mare but if it gets rid of it, then so be it.

There are other shops that are open but please practice social distancing as this is vital in stopping the spread.

**** Covid 19 update ****

Today and tomorrow we will be opening at 4pm through to 10pm

We’re predominately a student store and can’t trade to full capacity when the universities have shut down. There’s been an exodus of students which leaves us in March trying to survive until September. The way the business has worked for the past 10 years is a busy March and quiet April and a steady May see’s us through until September.

The government grants are a welcomed boost for us and will help in the businesses survival. We don’t own our business so that money will cover rent and utilities.

I have quite a lot of stock like soft drinks, crisps, chocs, sweets and biscuits and canned food so if you know anyone in the locality that is struggling to get out, not even due to isolation but even cos it’s scary and they have kids etc and don’t want to leave home. I can start arranging delivery via bank transfer

Just message me and I’m willing to help and fit there is enough demand, I’ll get more stock.

It’s a crap time for most businesses out there and I’m sure we can make it to September
