At SPAR, we believe in giving back to our furry friends who bring so much joy into our lives. That's why SPAR Southwest (on behalf of all Southwest SPAR Stores) were thrilled to support Gables Cats & Dogs Home and Woodside Animal Sanctuary.

As part of our commitment to supporting our local communities, SPAR Southwest in collaboration with Butcher's Dog food made a donation of over 1000 tins & pouches of dog and cat food to each Charity.🐶❤️🐱

Need an easy recipe to keep the kids entertained this weekend? Have you tried making delicious shortbread biscuits? They only take 3 ingredients!

125g Butter
55g Caster Sugar
180g Flour (Plain or Self raising)

Mix together the butter and sugar until smooth, gradually stir in the flour until you have a thick paste. Turn on to a floured work surface and gently roll out until the paste is 1cm thick. Cut into rounds or other shapes and put on a baking tray, sprinkle with a little extra sugar and chill in the fridge for at least 20 minutes. Bake on a preheated oven at 180°C for 15-20 Mins. Optionally sprinkle with a little icing sugar when cool.
