Oh dear is this the equivalent of ‘leaves on the line’ or ‘the wrong kind of snow’!? As the island has not had a boat that brings supplies since Wednesday we’re all counting on you to put an early one on tomorrow morning. You did it last week under similar circumstances, so we know you can! 🤞🤞

Ok, so………bad news!

For the second time in three weeks our suppliers have failed to deliver our order of chilled and frozen goods. They are unable to offer any explanation, but have apologised. Regrettably, apologies will not put milk in the island fridges this weekend.

The situation is further compounded by no Oban boat on Saturday, making an emergency milk delivery unlikely via Kennacraig (especially with road closures!)

No boat at all on Monday means that our delivery scheduled for today will now not arrive until Wednesday! 😬

As a result, we will open between 2:30 - 4:00 on Wednesday afternoon so folk can get milk as soon as possible.

This situation only goes to highlight the shortcomings of the existing supply chain we have inherited, but we continue to work towards a better solution for the island community, challenging and disrupting the status quo and introducing change for the benefit of all.

We’re not like Tesco because we sometimes run out of milk, and maybe other things too! 😬 sorry!

We’re not like Tesco because we don’t employ over 350,000 staff, but we do employ two island residents which is nice.

We’re also not like Tesco because we stock these splendid locally grown (or made) products!

Internet and BT broadband issues mean that we might not be able to take card payments this afternoon - it’s very hit and miss! Apologies. With the Post Office being closed there’s no access to cash either. Please, if you can, come suitably supplied!
