WINNER OF HALLOWEEN SELECTION
Congratulations to David McKenna (Sev) who was the lucky winner of our Halloween themed selection in Octobers Prize Draw. He correctly told us that the legendary killer in the Halloween series was in fact Michael Myers (not the comedian!). Well done David, I hope it was appreciated at home! Thank you to everyone who entered and well done to everyone (lots of you!) who got it right – though there can only be one winner!

The Story of Fraser’s Budgens Witney

Frasers Retail Ltd is a Family Business started by Bob Fraser in 1954. The first site was in Rowstock just outside Harwell and was the first ‘forecourt’ to serve hot food as far as we know – he had a café on site.

Now under ownership of Robert and Hugh Fraser (sons of Bob) and have Nick (Robert’s son) and Jonathan (Hugh’s son) heavily involved in this Oxfordshire based business. With 5 sites and looking to grow further the company has built up a reputation for it’s quality offering, becoming the bedrock of the communities they sit within. Other sites are Yarnton, Brize Norton, Three Mile Cross (Reading) and Marlborough and all have won various awards through the years.

The redevelopment at the Cannon Pool (Witney) site really shows the commitment to the area and the potential Fraser’s Retail see in the site. With a cost of around 400k it is the latest redevelopment at the store since the company first took it on in 1976 (the first site the company bought) – we still employ Derek who joined us back in 1976 and many of the staff have been there in excess of 15 years, some over 30! It is a genuine local store run by and serving the local community and the changes made have helped transform the area – it is now a one stop shop and much more than your average forecourt where customers can get pretty much anything they need and more!

In the store we have the following services
