Hi All
This is a massive thanks to everyone who has supported the events organised for the post office and village shop relocation fund. I can confirm that the target of £12,000 has now been reached and all monies are held in its own bank account held by two independent treasurers. The last event a bingo night, raised almost £700 which took us just over our target.
This is a big achievement by the whole village and surrounding area. Big thank you . Jackie

We raised £150.05 towards the relocation.
It was a real social event too and got to chat and meet people.

I would like to thank everyone for their kind words and support for the village shop and Post Office.
I have been given a lot of ideas and suggestions as to where we may be able to move to and how to achieve it. I need to process all this and formulate a plan.
I am meeting with a representative from the post office on Thursday and hope to have more news after that.
I shall keep you all posted and updated and please believe I will do everything possible for a positive outcome.

The Village Shop & Post Office is looking to find a new home in Appleton Wiske! 🏡 We know how important this facility is to our community and those of the surrounding villages. We are asking for your help and support over the next few months to find a site and building to relocate to. If you have any ideas or suggestions we look forward to hearing from you. A big thanks to Christine Donald who won the hamper of local produce from Appleton Wiske Shop, helping raise funds for Preschool. Goodies. The hamper included cakes from The Rustic Bakery , cheese from The Yorkshire Dales Cheese Company , pork pies from Five Houses Farm Shop and Kitchen , cakes from Stonehouse Bakery, Natural Crisps fron Brown Bag and beautiful, still warm Sourdough from Elizabeth.
