Sourced from the sunny hillsides of the Veneto, harvested in late September and fermented at cool temperatures to preserve its aromas of citrus, pear and apple. This is an outstanding price for a fantastic house wine.

A quick update on some of our delicious new arrivals.
First of all we have the brilliant Castillo de Eneriz Reserva from Navarra in northern Spain.
This wine is, somewhat unusually for Spain, a blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 20% Tempranillo - so kind of Bordeaux meets Rioja.
It’s had loads of oak ageing - this vintage is 2016 and it’s spent 18 months in French and American oak barrels.
This has given it a lovely silky texture to match its rich flavours of cassis, plum, cedar, and vanilla. There are also subtle balsamic notes on the finish.
The price is really competitive for a wine of this age and quality - just £10.50.
Next we have 2 wines from the first Maori owned wine company in the world.
Tohu Sauvignon Blanc is produced from fruit grown in Marlborough's Awatere valley.
This vibrant wine displays aromas of citrus and tropical fruit with notes of herbs complemented with hints of orange blossom and lemongrass. The palate has flavours of lemon and lime, pineapple and green apple. It has lovely fruit concentration, a zesty minerality and a lively, dry finish.
Tohu Chardonnay is richly textured and unoaked. It has aromas of ripe nectarine and citrus with hints of butterscotch gained from both extended time on lees and malolactic fermentation. On the palate fresh flavours of peach and tropical fruit are balanced with subtle creaminess and great length, leading to a smooth dry finish.
These high quality wines are both priced at £15.99
Finally we have Finca Manzanos Rioja Gran Reserva 2001
From the probably the best Rioja vintage of the 21st century so far this modern and surprisingly fresh Gran Reserva is tawny in colour, but still clean and bright. It has elegant aromas and intense flavours of dried fruit, liquorice, spices, cocoa and coffee. It’s full bodied with delicate and silky tannins.
Outstanding value for a wine of this age at just £26.99
All four wines are available at our Plymouth and Kingsbridge shops.
