HRH Queen Elizabeth II Funeral - Monday 19th September

Following the sad news on the passing of HRH Queen Elizabeth II and as a mark of respect I have taken the decision to close between 10am - 4pm on the day of her funeral Monday 19th September

Opening hours will be 7:30am - 10am and 4pm - 11pm

Please note we will NOT be selling any hot food for the day.

I would like to apologise to all of our customers for the inconvenience caused by the IT issues we have faced due to a faulty Microsoft update that hit our tills, this ultimately removed our ability to take card payments.

We are currently still cash only but have had assurances that a new till is being delivered in the next few hours and our card services should then be available again.

Once again sorry and thank you for your patients.

Hi All,

With face masks becoming a legal requirement again from tomorrow, please continue to whilst in our stores by encouraging positive behaviour and recognising all the hard work our staff do. The latest retail industry data suggests that 450 shopworkers are abused each day and it’s feared this may rise with the reintroduction of masks and also during the busy festive season. Thank you

As restrictions ease today, we are asking customers to continue to consider others whilst shopping with us.

Our precautions such as screens behind the tills and sanitiser station will remain in place and despite no longer being required by law we would greatly appreciate mask wearing to continue.

As of Friday 24th July it will become a legal requirement to enter the store wearing a face mask. We do sell reusable and washable masks in store, please ensure you have one at the ready for Friday. All of our staff will continue to wear them whilst working on the shop floor to keep both you and us safe :)

Given the changes taking place today we have made the following adjustments in store:

Please use the sanitiser station on entry

We have now increased people allowed in the store to 4 at a time

The refillable milk is now available again - with wipes to ensure hygiene standards are met

New flooring stickers - please follow the instructions on the floor

Although it is not mandatory, we ask where possible, you wear a face mask (or covering) whilst shopping in store

We are no longer closing whilst taking in deliveries, but will be reducing the numbers allowed in for these short periods

As ever, if you are looking to avoid other people our quietest hours of the day to shop are between 7:30-8:30 in the morning and 10-11pm.

We are continuing to offer our free delivery service to those that have been self isolating.

We're happy to say we are now back open on our normal opening hours 7:30am - 11pm 7 days a week!

As of today we have also switched back on our Coffee machine, and resumed baking breads, parisians & pastries, which will all be served in enclosed packaging to uphold increased hygiene standards.

We are continuing with 2 customers in store at any time for now, our quietest times to shop are always the first hour and last hour of the day, this is you best opportunity to avoid a queue.

We are pleased to announce as of today Sunday 17th we will be extending our opening hours to 8am -9pm every day of the week.
Please be aware we may still have to close briefly during these hours to accept any large deliveries and to ensure social distancing measures are kept to.

We are also pleased to announce as of Monday 18th our bakery will reopen, offering sausage rolls, bacon + sausage baps and pasties.

We will also now be offering our full paypoint services including Collect + and Lottery and Scratch cards.

We will also be accepting cash and offering cash back but please only on instances where you do not have a card, contactless card transactions are still the safest way to shop.

You will also find a sanitising station as you enter the store, please make use of this, if you are allergic to sanitizer or do not wish to use it we will ask that you take a pair of disposable gloves to wear whilst in store.

Finally our delivery service is still running, minimum £15 to receive a free same day delivery.
Thank you for sticking with us and supporting our changes during this period, we are extremely greatful to all of you taking our measures into account during your shop 😊

We will be opening later today due to a fridge breaking down overnight. We have an engineer on site however, this is delaying putting our morning delivery away. We will update once we are open.

We are still offering home delivery to our customers for free!

Our stock levels are returning to normal with the only notable exception being flour, which we are restricting to 1 bag per customer.



And remember we are open 8am - 8pm 7 days a week for the time being.

From Sunday 5th April we will be increasing our opening hours to 8am - 8pm 7 days a week.

There may be some instances where we need to close for short periods throughout the morning to take in deliveries - as it is no longer safe to do so with customers in store.

We are able to extend our hours thanks to our incredible staff who are committed to serving the community the best way possible during this difficult time.

We will still be offering a delivery service to those self isolating, elderly or vulnerable. Please check on your neighbours if they fall in to this category and call 01326313488 to place an order or email [email protected].

Open reduced hours 9-5 for the forseeable!

From Thursday morning we will be opening the doors again between 9-5.

We will only be accepting card payments, no cash or coupons will be accepted at this time.

We will be able to do electricity and gas key top ups - it will be a sort of self service whereby you will put your key into our device without our staff needing to touch it.

Non essential products such as Hot Coffee from our machine, hot food, lottery & scratchcards will not be available for the current period.

We will be limiting the store to two people at any one time. We have also taped the floor with boxes, we ask you do not enter the same box as anybody else in the store. And once you have put your items on the counter please take a step back out of the hashed area.


We ask you to please respect the governments instructions to only shop for essential goods as infrequently as possible.

We are still offering our delivery service for the elderly or vulnerable we ask that you email [email protected] before 10am if you wish to have same day delivery. If you do not have access to email call 01326313488.

New opening hours 9am-5pm 7 days a week for the foreseeable future.

Please read our Delivery/Collection Process:

Due to being inundated with calls today we ask you please to make all orders via email unless you do not have access to the internet.

Email orders through to; [email protected]

If you require delivery your order must be received by 10am to receive a same day delivery. If not it will be delivered the following day. Please specifically state if you require a delivery in your order. Once the order is picked a member of staff will call you back to take payment and confirm a delivery time.

For collections once you email has been received it will be picked in store and a member of staff will call you back to take payment and agree a collection time for your goods.

Thank you so much to those of you that have been patient with us today we have learnt a lot in a short space of time but also feel that these slight adjustments will allow us to get to those that need it in the most efficient way!
