Mead is booming! And this is delicious from admittedly a little sweeter than my normal fare but the combination of honey, blackberry and booze works for me. Friendly with all manner of food too... If you already like sweetish impy stouts or sours and new experiences why not give it a try?

I've been asked a lot about Putty this week Verdant's annual 'hype' IPA release, but I'm unlikely to stock it when you can get beers as good as this for £3 less. We're in something of a post-hype era now when it comes to craft beer in which stand out. If you're looking for contemporary pales and IPAs at sensible prices check our website for more from these guys and other carefully curated breweries 🍻 Link in bio

Claiming a world exclusive here as the first retailers to stock Pet Nat Pinot Noir 2024! And doesn't it look great next to their Col Fondo Bacchus 2023.
These English sparklers are assembled at Darley Dale near Matlock and have the smallest carbon footprint of any of our wines. Expertly crafted by Kieran Atkinson consultant to the English wine trade and vineyard manager at Renishaw Hall in Derbyshire.
The Pet Nat is 100% Worcestershire grown Pinot Noir with a natural alcohol content of 9% this is enormously quaffable stuff. Light ruby in colour with notes of cola cubes, cherry and black forest gateau. 100% unfiltered and unfined.
The Col Fondo is made with dosage (added fermentable sugar) to achieve a higher abv of 11% from Essex grown Bacchus grapes. Expect orchard fruit, citrus and classic elderflower varietal notes.

It may astonish you but I do not subscribe to Dry January. I do however aim for 'quality over quantity' this month as it's a good habit to cultivate for the rest of the year and helps me to find some balance after December's indulgences.
So in the spirit of good intentions and sustainability, here's a quick focus on our Natural, Organic & Biodynamic wines. What's the difference and what do they have in common? Frankly, higher prices and higher quality is what they have in common. These wines are no gimmick though, they are made to exacting principles resulting in unique, fantastic tasting wines.
Biodynamic wines come certified and are usually part of a broader ecological project, such as our Vincenzo Bianco in the first picture. This is made at one of the largest Biodynamic farms in Italy. Hand picked with a careful proportion of destem/whole bunch vinification, and grown on pure wild soils that have been restored over generations thanks to the biodiversity of vegetable, grain, olive oil and honey production on the same farm.
Organic Wines also come certified with traceability and sustainability key to the winemakers philosophy. Just check out the details on the rear label of our Hippolyte Rouge. This level of care and attention always shows in the taste of a wine where you can expect purity, precision and a depth of character that you just won't find in mass produced plonk.
And finally, we have a couple of Portuguese wines I would put firmly in the 'natural' category. They're not certified but follow the key principle of quality over quantity in the vineyard, and these are field blends. This means multiple indigenous grapes, as a opposed to a mass produced monoculture. Natural soil, natural grapes, natural quality.
Plenty more to explore in store and online🍷
