WANTED: farm assistant on free range layer site near Bromyard 🐓🥚
We are seeking an assistant to join our modern, family run free range layer chicken farm in the beautiful North Herefordshire countryside. The role involves grading and packing of eggs and tasks related to the well-being of the chickens and upkeep of the site.
Weekdays and every other weekend 8-1pm.
Additional hours within the wider farm business, afternoons and occasional evening available.
Main responsibilities
🥚 Grading and packing of eggs.
🥚 Working in the 2 poultry houses i.e. walking sheds, checking the health and happiness of the birds, collecting floor eggs, hanging enrichment and maintaining records.
🥚 General site maintenance, biosecurity and tidiness.
🥚 Completing records and reporting issues.
🥚 Assisting with cleanout between flocks.
🥚 Working within a small team and some lone working.
