Our new store features a wine refill system designed to reduce waste and bottles to landfill. Expertly sourced wines from around the world are dispensed using state of the art equipment into any refillable bottle. Our soft spot for Sourdough and all bakery goods have led us to seek out the best you can buy locally. We have a product range of completely unique upcycled collectables.

Cheers all - this is what we'll be popping open on Christmas morning.

LUMINE - Italian Moscato D'Asti DOCG 5%

Refreshingly clean sweetness, notes of elderflower & peaches 🍑, tiny little prickle of fizz, just the right amount to start the celebrations off in the right direction.

I thought we should have a Festive event for the Team (team of one - Me!) 🤓

This Sunday 8th Dec | 3pm - 4pm

Come and join myself and fellow customers / villagers / dogs / friends / / & for a glass of something bubbly.
Make sure to mention the secret word: "Drinkie-poos darling" for one on us!

As with a lot of our ethos we positively encourage wherever possible therefore as with last year feel free to BYO (Bring Your Own) glassware, for a bit of a giggle, love to see them.
(Don't worry though we will have our own glasses just in case 😉)

🎄Later that evening.... From 4pm
As many of you know, we have little people, and are planning on continuing the festivities watching the light switch on and .
Taking place opposite from 4pm.

You're more than welcome to hang out at ours under the lights - we don't want to miss it (like we did last year) and will be aiming to close the doors vaguely on time (for once) 😉🥂.

We may even continue the merriment over the road and treat ourselves to a cheeky tipple of before their kicks off from 5pm.

Other than that, usual business of fabulous WINE | COFFEE | BREAD

🍷As always all wines can be ordered in advance via the website for click and collect.
Should you fancy an bottle of something chilled and fizzy for enjoying Christmas carols with or to take home and enjoy by the fire 🔥.

Tap wines will be available by the glass too - should you not be as excited by fizz as we are 🤓.

Produced from Chenin Blanc (67%), Chardonnay (23%) and Cabernet Franc (10%).

A pale gold color with delicate, refined bubbles. Pleasant aromas of white flowers (Tilia, Hawthorn) A subtle palate with an intense freshness.
Ageing potential : From 3 to 5 years.

The grapes used to make Crémant de Loire brut come from 6 quality terroirs:
Côtes de Saumur, Coteaux de St Léger, Puy Notre Dame, Bas Layon, Haut Layon and Montreuil Bellay all of which have predominantly chalky soils.
The grapes areentirely hand-picked in small 25kg crates and a pneumatic press is used immediately after gathering (160kg of grapes gives 100l of juice).

During vinification grape varieties and terroir are separated in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks and it is the taste of the clear, unblended wines which determines the final mix (the best vintages using around 10% of reserve wines).

The second fermentation is drawn in the bottle and the wine is matured on the lees for a minimum of 24 months in the wineries freestone cellars.

Langlois-Chateau was founded in 1912 by Edouard Langlois and his wife Jeanne Chateau and, from the outset, specialized in sparkling wines.
They suffered a major setback in 1915 when Edouard Langlois was killed during the First World War.
However, the business was carried on by his widow and continued to thrive.

In 1973 they were acquired by the Champagne house and with the financial investment that came with it were able to expand both their cellars and vineyard holdings in Saumur, Saumur-Champigny and .

In 2007 their winery at Saint-Hilare-Saint-Florent in was significantly expanded and now handles their entire production and distribution operations. These days in addition to their renowned sparkling wines their growing range of still wines is also starting to make waves.

It's here! It's taken us a while to find the right reusable coffee cup. Keen for glass but not enjoying drinkimg from silicone lids. Like some of the stainless out there but often keeping drinks too hot and thin spouts a but annoying. We think the Huskee, which is made from recycled huskee cups are nailing it. A pleasure to drink from. Like a cup but with a qide lid. No funky tastes lingering. Fits in the car cup holder. Sustainable. Perfect.
