Well done to all of you amazing runners who took part in the 8th edition of our special little race. We really hope you enjoyed it - we really enjoyed sharing our part of the world with you.

Final Details are here for this Saturday's 8th Allithwaite in the autumn sun* and will be in the email boxes of all entered for the race.

Please note that all entries are closed and locked whilst we set up and no transfers are available. We are unable to reply to any last minute emails.

Just a few days until someone is the lucky winner 🏆 of this prize... And there are plenty more similar local prizes on offer for this year's Allithwaite 8 next Saturday, 2nd November.

Final details will be winging their way to those of you who have been lucky enough to enter in time (there's still time for substitutions). Watch this space for another link once we've locked down entries later in the week.

We've been a bit blown away by the entries this year - we are now full and we've been adding from the waiting list as much as we can. There are NO entries on the day - sorry, but it'd be really unfair for those on the wait list!

One final point: PLEASE lift share with your club mates if at all possible, or consider public transport (or even your bike 🚲 😁) Parking is limited.

A massive shout out to our awesome runners who completed Lakes in a Day yesterday. Just a little run - 50 miles and 4000m ascent from Caldbeck to Cartmel. Pretty brutal conditions on Helvellyn with winds gusting at around 50mph with some lumpy bits of hail thrown in... And that's before half way!
Excellent mountain running skills and brilliant determination saw them to the finish line.
And lots of supporters cheering them on in lots of different places.

An incredible weekend of running around the Lake District for 3 of our club in the Montane Lakeland 100/50!
Mahoosively impressive race from Steve whose hard work training paid off in the Lakeland 100. After a 1800 start at Coniston, Steve returned with over 100 miles in the bag on Sunday morning, having endured a good variety of weather including heavy rain overnight into Saturday and a moonlit night into Sunday. Whilst the time was a little over what he'd been planning, Steve made the cut and was amongst the 427 finishers out of 735 starters in a tough race. We know that once his feet have recovered, he'll be back planning his next adventure. 👏👏👏💪🎉

Credit also to Netty and Chris for getting to the start line of the Lakeland 50, and after another tough day Netty made it to the finish with an impressive time. Sadly injury got the better of Chris, but not before he'd covered a marathon distance and wisely judged a DNF was better than worsening injury. Good on you both.
