Another summer has come to an end so our thoughts turn to winter.

We have had the busiest season in the 22 years we have been here, and on
behalf of Alex and myself, we would like to thank all our customers who made it possible.

The majority of our bar and restaurant customers are already, or about to close, so from Monday 28th October we will revert to our winter opening hours.

We stay open all year for our remaining bar customers and of course our loyal local residents, but will reduce our hours to :

Monday to Friday 10:00 to 15:00.
Weekends - Closed.

Alex and I have spent almost every waking hour in each others company for the last 8 months, but due to holidays and short breaks, we will now hardly see each other for the next 4 - I think he's ready for the break 😁.

We'll have a relaxing winter but we're looking forward to seeing everyone again next year, and doing it all again.

Unusually hot for October

Temperatures hit 34ºC. In Binissalem, there was a high of 34C on Monday.

After working the last 33 Sundays (and every other day of those weeks too 😁), we can at last say we have a day off this Sunday.

It's been our busiest season by a long way and we really need this day off - people are asking us this week what we have planned - easiest answer ever 🛌 🖥 🍻 - even though Alison may yet hi-jack some of those plans 😁

It's only one day but we'll really enjoy it.

Regular visitors will know that due to the stock levels we need to keep, there is always very little room inside and outside the shop.

Some days are worse than others due to the amount of deliveries coming in.

Today was one of those days - and I always tell people coming in to be careful as they walk around because of the boxes spread around the shop.

There was a point today when I told an elderly couple to be careful as they walked around - but the gentleman put his hand on my shoulder and in the broadest Scottish accent said - "don't worry son, this is how a Licor Store is supposed to look".

Made my day and I saw them later taking photos of the van out front too - more satisfied customers 😁

Another day almost over.

Shop already closed but one more delivery to make around the corner.

Alex likes to fit as much on one trolley as he can to speed up the deliveries - you can tell he wants to go home 😁

Six cases of Red Bull, 36 litres of vodka, 24 bottles of wine - he makes it look easy 😁

End of another tough day for us - 12 incoming & 34 outgoing deliveries to cope with, as bars get ready for hopefully a busy football weekend ahead.

Never mind Alex its only 5️⃣0️⃣ days now to our day off 💪.

Adios Julio 👋 Hola Agosto !!.

July is always our busiest month and this year was no exception - marked mainly by the amount of Breezers we sold to the groups of Irish youngsters.

We still have a couple of busy months ahead before we can enjoy our winter breaks, but today is a big milestone along the way.

Although our work usually drops a little in August, it is still very busy and the rise in temperatures doesn't make it any easier 🥵

Looks like it's going the same way this year.

Big jump in the temperature here today, coinciding with the busiest day we have had in our 22 years here.

Very hard work for Alex and I delivering all day and also Alison helping us out in the shop every day this month so far.

The warning is for Irish holidaymakers to only leave their hotel if necessary - including to buy your Breezers 🤣

What a week we have had.

Anyone here this week probably couldn't help but notice the stream of people carrying cases of Breezers back to their hotels.

This is the view out the door right now with piles ready for the next couple of hours before we close.

Definitely the drink of the moment and we sell cases €13 cheaper than the next best 😁

After another very busy day for us delivering to bars around Santa Ponsa and other resorts, we were just about to begin the nightly pack-away of what's left out front when this group of lads from Meath came into the shop.

One of their party had heard of us before but we were new to the rest of them.

They must have been impressed as they left with cases of Smirnoff Ice and Corona, a Grey Goose, a few Malibu, a 3L Smirnoff, 2 AU Blue Raspberry and 2 baskets full of mixers in the shape of Cokes, Fantas and various Monster flavours.

Thanks lads, it was a pleasure to meet you - a really nice bunch we hope to see again soon.

Definitely the busiest the Bay has been this year - a reflection too of the week we just had 😓.

After the storm earlier this week its certainly back to normal summer weather now 🥵

We thought it strange that for the last week we have not been receiving our order for Smirnoff Litres in a plastic bottle.

Today we found out that Diageo Espana have removed it from their catalogue of items available in Spain.

It's by far and away our biggest selling plastic bottle, but I'm afraid that after having them for all of our 22 years here there will be no more.

This is the last one we have 😁

By the way Diageo also produce Gordons so it will be no surprise if that is next to go.
