Today our broad selection of fine spirits and bitters stands on the shoulders of this proud heritage. A.H.Riise Spirits is one of Scandinavias oldest brands of fine spirits. Our history goes back to 1838 when Danish pharmacist and explorer Albert Heinrich Riise was granted the exclusive right to produce alcohol on the Virgin Islands in the Carribean formerly known as the Danish West Indies. ur original cask matured rum, which won a Medal at the Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893, to our Tranquebar gin which is made from the same spices originally imported into Holland in the mid-17th century, A.H. Riise spirits is based on original recipes and traditional craftmanship. This ensures the great quality and unique taste that has been associated with the name A.H. Riise for nearly 2 centuries.
