Lo fi, low intervention, glou-glou, living wines, raw wines, nature made wines… what ever you want to call them the style of natural wines are still the talk of the town even if you love them or hate them. For me it’s about drinking good wines that are made good. And I can highly recommend that the winemakers of Germany with their precision approach, attention to detail and mastery of cool climate are making clean, smooth, exciting… Rawsome wines 🍾🍾🍾

While again most travel has been cancelled looking back on 21 it’s been a rollercoaster ride and I feel fortunate to have had so many grape people on tour 🥰🥰🥰

With more than expected wine tours and tastings than I imagined I tried my best to accomodate all requests from solo wine heads looking for a buddy or even to get their hands sticky in the vineyard, to hardcore collectors wanting to hunt down some GG’s and old gold Rieslings to those thirsty for a wine weekend away. It was also grape to accomodate team functions again …but mostly it was a very heartwarming surprise to have many wine loving guests come back to crack some Sekt with me for a second time on tour.

It’s been a fun mission to share the German wine story with wine loving guests from around the world. While travel is still complicated I appreciate every guests winehead like dedication to take a tour with me to learn more about German wine. The best part is seeing how much new love people discovered for German wines beyond their expectations.

Also a big thanks to all winemakers and there colleagues for being grape hosts and sharing their passion and making us feel welcome.

Looking forward to cracking some more wines and good times in 2022. Stay thirsty 🍾🥂

Hows 2021 so far?
And if you're in the northern hemisphere hows lockdown life?
Any way I thought Id say HI and send a little update and something special about what I've been up to amongst the vineyards.

Over the past 2 and a bit years I started Weinköpfe Grape Escapes - hosting wine tours in Germany. Over that time I have had the pleasure of sharing German wine with 250+ winelovers from all over the world. Obviously Corona was a kick in the nuts for travel.
