Champagne Legras et Haas Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru 2015

The nose of this Champagne erupts with classic scents of peach 🍑 , pear 🍐 , honeycomb 🍯 and yeast. It is crafted from 100% Chardonnay, grown in the Grand Cru plots of Chouilly in the Côte des Blancs, where the Legras-Haas family have made their home.

The winery was founded in 1991 by dynamic wine-making power couple François Legras and Brigitte Haas. However, the family have been growing grapes in the region for much longer than that. François and Brigitte’s three sons, who now run the winery, represent the sixth generation of grape growers to grace the fields of Northern France. Their range offers a classic taste of Champagne, rich, creamy and deeply satisfying.

This Blanc de Blancs has a fine, persistent perlage, which translates to an exciting, velvety mouthfeel. Look for flavours of fresh pear, honeysuckle, brioche and citrus 🍊 rind on the palate, underpinned by a vibrant acidity. This Champagne is only produced in truly excellent vintages.

Fakin Malvazija 2022

The Fakin family business is located in Croatia, on the Istrian peninsula, with vineyards spread over 30 hectares including several micro-localities. The particular microclimate and the configuration of the hilly terrain enhance the grapes’ minerality, freshness, and expressive characteristics of Istrian varieties such as Malvasia Istarska, Terrano, and Muskat.

The young winemaker, Marko Fakin, considered by experts to be a promise of the Croatian and international wine scene has already won various competitions and awards 🏆 with his wines.

Malvasia Fakin is an irresistibly fresh wine, with green notes, almost herbaceous at first. Then the wine is dominated by hints of citrus 🍋‍🟩 and yellow fruit, together with some nuances of hazelnut and honey 🍯 that also return to the palate. The finish is generally mineral, with a slight cool varietal bitter note. It is a medium-bodied, well-balanced and round wine that leaves the impression of a certain fullness typical of Malvasia grapes harvested at full maturity.

Champagne Gilbert Leseurre Tradition Brut

This beauty is our new house champagne 🥂🥂Very fresh and intensely drinkable! Probably the best value champagne right now in the portfolio and pure grower champagne at that. Big, big fans here 😁

Champagne Gilbert Leseurre is a family-owned Champagne house located in the village of Bassuet, in the heart of the Marne Valley. This noble estate has been producing Champagne since 1868 and is known for its exceptional quality and attention to detail. Where possible, their Champagnes are made using time-honoured traditional methods with a focus on low-intervention winemaking and sustainable agriculture.

This is one of their classic house Champagnes which is made from selected grapes from the family’s 7 hectares of vines. The land is divided into 17 individual plots which are vinified separately, allowing winemaker Earl Gilbert Leseurre to compose each cuvee according to the vintage and terroir. He then adds a modest dosage to give a small amount of sweetness, helping to smooth out and balance the flavour profile of the final blend.

The result is a versatile Brut Champagne with a complex bouquet of apple, pear, and citrus notes and hints of brioche and almond. On the palate you can expect a fresh and lively character with a delicate acidity and a long and satisfying finish.

Champagne EPC Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature

It’s EPC time! 🥂 We just love their lineup and especially the beautiful BdB wines. EPC is a relatively young champagne house but with the quality like this and a fresh approach to winemaking and marketing they will take over the world in no time 🌍

EPC Champagne Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature is a 100% Chardonnay, coming from the slopes of the Sézannais in sustainable agriculture on a soil of chalk, marl and clay. The grapes are vinified by a group of winemakers in Bethon, and the wine is aged for 29 months. It is a Champagne with no added sugar (zero dosage), that is very fruity and very fresh.

This lively, gourmet, and dynamic Blanc de Blancs is very mineral and is bursting with citrus 🍊 and apple 🍏 goodness.

Champagne Nicolas Maillart Jolivettes Grand Cru 2018

Grower Champagne at its best, we loved the 2015 and 2018 shines brightly and drinks beautifully right now. 💯 Pinot Noir. Reaction of people who only drink big house champagne and try this for a first time is priceless 😂

The Maillart family have a noble history of grape growing which dates back to at least the 1500s. Nicolas Maillart is the ninth generation to enter the family business, taking over the reins in 2003 after completing his engineering and enology studies. Today he has a deserved reputation for exceptional Grower Champagnes from the family’s 16 hectares of Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards in the Montagne de Reims.

This masterful Grand Cru begins life in the 0.6 hectare Jolivettes vineyard in the town of Bouzy which has a reputation for making some of Champagne’s finest Pinot Noir. Nicolas farms this single vineyard organically and biodynamically to give him the very best quality raw ingredients to work with in the winery. The must is fermented using wild yeasts in small oak barrels and left on the lees for 8 months. It is then transferred to bottle and matures for another three years on the lees before disgorging.

Powerful and terroir-focused, this magnificent Grand Cru has the clear markers of Jolivettes’ excellent chalk soils in the crisp acidity, purity and streak of minerality.

Champagne Charles Ellner Rose Brut

Champagne Saturday, everyone! 😎

We just love this cool label and the wine is even better 😁

Founded in Épernay more than a century ago, the Maison Charles Ellner is classified NM that is Negociant Manipulant, because, in addition to owning 50 hectares of vines in the most important denominations, the company buys part of the grapes 🍇 from trusted farmers. All the cuvées spend four to twelve years in the cellar before being marketed and do not undergo malolactic fermentation to preserve their varietal freshness. The winery, now led by the third, fourth and fifth generation of the Ellner family, produces a range of classic and prestigious Champagnes.

Champagne Charles Ellner Rose Brut is made with a blend of Chardonnay (50%) and Pinot Noir (50%) grapes.

Its color is light pink with shades of cherry 🍒 On the nose, the wine reveals delicious aromas of wild berries such as red currant, strawberry 🍓 and raspberry. The aromatic profile is overall very pleasant and enriched on the finish by notes of berries and undergrowth. On the palate, the wine has a good concentration of fresh red fruit flavors, especially raspberry. It is fresh, thirst-quenching, and with a marked acid note.
