One of the first wineries in Niagara, Reif Estate Winery has been around since 1977 and is now run by the second generation of winemakers. Their vineyards are located in one of Ontario's warmest sub-appellations giving them the ability to produce rich, full-bodied wines – such as their Syrah that we've recently featured in our club packs!

It's a day to kick back, relax and sip your favourite rosé! Yep, you got that right, it's ! Today, we're drinking the 2021 KJ Watson rosé by Closson Chase Vineyards. It's a spicy rose potpourri in a glass, with hints of red fruit and cream. So delicious!

The third Saturday of June marks all over the world. While Chardonnay and Riesling are Ontario’s signature white grape varieties, you’ll find some Chenin Blanc as well. In Ontario’s climate, the grape produces crisp white wines with ripe fruit aromas of apple, pear, peach and honey. Let’s cheer for !

Kimball Lacey of Lacey Estates focuses on creating hand-crafted, small-batch and premium wines.

Having grown up in Kingston, Ontario, Keith Tyers of Closson Chase Vineyards developed a keen interest in wine and food. He's always striving to "capture what Mother Nature grows in a bottle."

Bob and Marzia of 180 wines decided they wanted to pursue a new path in life, reconnect with nature, and act on their passions. When the opportunity arose, they jumped on it, pulling a complete 180 in life!

Now that 's warming up, it's time for a to help you keep your wines yummy and .
Did you know adding to your ice is far more effective than just using ice alone? The water increases the cold area your is exposed to, cooling your much quicker! If you have a bottle that you want to chill even faster then try adding to the mix. Salt will the freezing point of the water even more cooling the wine down faster! Just remember to wipe down the bottle before serving - or else you'll have !

Last weekend, we had a blast at Bar Neon as we dived into fresh oysters and fizzy, flavourful bubbly. A cozy dining spot and bar located on Bloor St in Toronto, they feature Mediterranean-inspired dishes made from scratch with simple and natural ingredients! Bar Neon is the spot to enjoy happy hour! Their special features "buck-a-shuck" oysters and drink specials. And don't think we forgot about you wine lovers, their menu features some Kwaf Club favourites such as

We'd like you to meet Emma Garner in honour of women's day.
Garner’s passion and love for winemaking go back to when she travelled to different countries worldwide as she completed her Oenology and Viticulture program at Brock University. Visiting Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany and even British Columbia, Emma continued her passion through hands-on learning in the vineyards and cellars of Niagara.

Having started at Trius Winery, she embarked on a journey to becoming Winemaker for this small boutique-style winery in 2005. She found a special place in her heart for Wine Makers. Her approach to winemaking allows the vineyard and terroir to express themselves through her wine with minimal intervention during the process. Her style led her to be awarded Winemaker of the year at the Ontario Wine Awards in 2015.

Emma’s winemaking craft is on full display with her Rieslings- one of her favourite wines to work with and her red wine portfolio too. Thirty Bench Wine Makers is one of the most awarded wineries in Canada, and we can see why!

If you're looking to liven your senses for dinner, then Selva's your spot!
Described as an "experience", rather than a dining spot, you'll feel enveloped within their multi-coloured walls and neon lights that make the art from pop out!
Considered one of Toronto's best, we were excited to try their crispy fish taco platter that went fantastically with a glass of their Sauvignon Blanc. Needless to say, Selvas will be a spot we return to! The next time you're in TO, be sure to hit up this jungle-themed neon dream.
