New Fuel Pumps Update

Just an update for all our friends out there. We finally have all the computer gremlins evicted from our new fuel system and Pay at the Pump including Tap is reliably available 7AM-9PM every day for all your fueling needs. Thanks to all of those that were patient with us during the installation process. For those that have been asking, we currently have Regular and Diesel Fuel but the system is designed to have a Premium tank added in the future, hopefully in the next couple years. (we're a family shop so everything happens one step at a time)

Beaver Mines General Store is becoming Miner's Mercantile & Bakery. As we continue to grow and change with the times, we thought it was about time we updated our name and look to better reflect all the changes we have made to to the store over the last 6 years. We are still the same great store with great staff and wonderful customers. We thank all of you for your past support and helping us come so far over years. We look forward to hopefully seeing you all this summer.

Fire ban has arrived, just a heads up friends.

Due to hot and dry conditions and no precipitation in the forecast, Agriculture and Forestry implemented a fire ban for southern parts of the Calgary Forest Area and a fire restriction for the area south of Hwy 1 to Hwy 533. WE ARE BACK!

Hey Friends, we are happy to announce we are nearly back to our full operating hours. We are once again open 7 Days a Week 9AM-7PM. All services are now back to normal and we are working hard at getting all our summer stock back on the shelves for your summer fun. Deli is open for takeout with outside seating available and more coming soon.

Thank you so so so so much for your support over the last few crazy months.

Thank you all so much for your support and continued patronage through these strange times. We just wanted to let everyone know that we have extended our store hours and are now operating Thursday-Monday 11AM- 7PM, closed Tuesday and Wednesday. We have also made the decision to re-open our deli and bakery for take out only (no indoor seating). We look forward to seeing you this summer and will continue to update our store hours as we see fit!

Announcing Grocery Order Pickup Program

Hey friends, it's finally here. Now you can get your groceries with limited to no people contact! (That line sounds weird to us too, but hang in there friends!)

We now have several produce options, milk, meat and other sundry items available for order. As we move forward we hope to both expand the order list and make a tidy little website order form. Please see the starting options below. Also please note we still have our regular product offering in store and feel free to make special requests and we will get you what we can.

A couple logistical notes:

1) Order by Sunday by 10:00 AM for Wednesday Pickup, (Depending on Volume we may add more Order-Pickup Days.) (For the first week we will still be able to take orders till Tuesday)
2) Pricing should be fairly comparable to local grocery stores.
(Please by advised that some supplier pricing is fluctuating wildly right now, so prices may be frequently updated)
3)We also have our regular dry goods section fully stocked in store. We can order everything from work gloves to transmission oil please just ask for what you need if it's not a regular stock item.

Operating Hours Change COVID-19

This post is about our response and hour changes regarding COVID-19 but before I begin with that I want to first say:

Thank you. We know we wouldn't have come this far without your support and we really truly appreciate each and everyone one of you. From those of you we see everyday to those we see once or twice a year. We want you to know how important you are to us. We think of you all as our community and our family.

The rest of this post is about how we plan to do our part to protect you our community and our family.

Hour Change (Explanation Follows)
7am-7pm Until Friday March 20th, 2020
3pm-6pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday After March 21 until further notice.

We recognize that as a gathering place for the region we are a single point of contact for people all over the province. We consider this a point of pride, but in the context of the spread COVID-19 we recognize the potential for harm that our diverse group of supporters poses. For this reason, we will be drastically altering our operating hours as stated above and temporarily pausing deli service. We do however recognize that particularly for our immediate neighbors, many count on us for for supplies and fuel in the region. It is for this reason that we have chosen to remain open for short periods during the week. During this time we will observe very strict operating procedures including the use of face masks and gloves for staff to ensure any risk of transmission is minimized.

We recognize this is not ideal but we know it is the right choice for our staff, our families and our community.

We welcome any feedback or comments you have on this new policy and will do our best to be flexible as community needs evolve during this difficult time.

We thank you for your past support and look forward to seeing you again when this crisis has passed.

Get out of the cold.... via ski lift ;) yup that's right folks sounds like castle has a temperature inversion for us 😁😁😁😁👍

As cold air spills across the , the cold smoke continues to fall at Castle - literally dumping as we speak. Things are setting up for an inversion tomorrow meaning you could see much warmer temps here than down on the flat land. That and !

Steal of a bucket days...Ice cream season is ending at Beaver Mines General Store for another year and we have a few whole buckets we are looking to move on the cheap. An 11.4 L bucket of your favorite flavour of Foothills Premium Ice Cream could be yours for only $50 each. Currently we still have buckets of:
