Purpose of Role:

The Warehouse worker will perform a variety of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse. The ideal candidate must be well suited to work in a fast-paced environment.

Working hours/Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends is required based on business demands, sometimes on short notice.

Warehouse Worker Duties & Responsibilities

* Works independently to manually pick customer orders indicated on pick tickets. * Wraps pallets and stages pallets for loading on trucks for in-town and out-of-town deliveries and pick-ups
* Maintains condition of work area in a neat and orderly manner – free of trash, sweeps floor; aligns pallet in slots
* Utilize an industrial forklift and/or electric pallet jack (training offered)
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
* Assist other warehouse workers in completing tasks as requested

Qualifications and Experience Required:

* Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with physically demanding work.
* High school diploma or equivalent is required
* Must be dependable and a team player
* Must be able to lift in excess of 25 kgs and frequent lifting on average of 10 to 15 kgs
* Strong attention to detail
* A focused, detailed and disciplined approach to tasks
* Reliable and punctual
