Well this is farewell that is sad for us but good all at the same time. You have been with our company for 4 seasons now and you will be missed. We wish you all the best in the next chapter of your life Austin Sonnenschein. Don’t forget to visit when you come to the cottage.

We’re excited to welcome back our customers for another season. We have some important news to share
- at the moment we will no longer be carrying LCBO products, or accepting empty returns. However, we’re looking forward to offering some new, high-quality items, including a selection of prmium meats, in our store.
I want to apologize to our customers regarding the LCBO decision. This was not made lightly, but rather was a strictly economic decision based on the high costs of getting goods to this location.
Please accept our deepest apologies for the late notification. We greatly appreciate your continued support.

Remembering Remi
Family Fun BBQ
We would like to share with everyone that Remi would have been 79 years old this year. Remi believed that Georgian Bay was paradise, and it was the place he loved the most!
On July 16th, 2023, the Family would like to invite you to join us on Remi’s birthday to celebrate his amazing spirit.
We will be hosting a Family BBQ, with some light refreshments between 2-5. People are welcome to bring their musical instruments if they wish, we have a couple of amplifiers. There is nothing formal, just a chance for people to come and reminisce.
Remi loved to look at photos of old boats and scoots and pictures of the bay. Please feel free to bring and share with the group.
We encourage you to stop by and share in the stories of this greatly missed husband/father/grandfather/great grandfather and the “unofficial mayor of Sans Souci”.

Good Afternoon everyone. We are working on pictures for the celebration. We have found so many great pictures. We have had a few people send us some images. If you have any of Remi over the years please feel free to post them here, or you can email them to us directly [email protected]

Thank you for the outpouring of support. They have given Claire strength and shown her just how loved her husband was.

We will do a few remarks around noon on saturday. We will live stream the event via facebook from 10-2pm.

Remi LeBlanc

It is with great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Remi LeBlanc (Remi Eugere LeBlanc) on March 24, 2023 at home with his wife at his side, at the age of 78.
Survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Claire, along with their two daughters Eileen Robitaille and Elaine Putnam, two son in-laws Michael Robitaille and Michael Putnam, 4 grandchildren Shayne Robitaille, Bryce Robitaille, Michelle Putnam, Jason Putnam and one Grand daughter in-law Heleena Juneau-Taylor, one great grand daughter Mila Robitaille and three step great grand children London, Mason and Addison.

Survived by his sister’s and brothers Rosita Dalton, Julie Gregoire, Ted LeBlanc and Joe LeBlanc, proceeded by Vic LeBlanc, Phil LeBlanc and Edward LeBlanc, he will be remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Remi’s greatest love besides Claire would be life on Georgian Bay and specifically the Sans Souci area, as Remi would say “I am the self proclaimed mayor of Sans Souci.”
He lived worked and died in the place he loved most in the world.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The Family invites you to join them in celebrating the life of Remi and a life well lived.

Good Morning Everyone.

We would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of emotions and support. Claire has been overcome with the emotions in the responses. She has read them all. We often wonder how many people will remember us when we pass, Claire knows how much her partner of 50+ years was loved, it fills her with comfort.

We will be organizing a celebration of life for Remi in the next week or 2. We will update the exact details as soon as we can. We will do our best to live stream the event for those that cannot attend.

In order to prepare for the celebration of life, could we ask people with pictures or videos of Remi to email them to us [email protected] or post them here and we will put together a bunch of pictures for the gathering.

Thank you again.

Elaine, Eileen and family are rallying around Claire to support her in this most difficult of times.

If you have questions regarding the marina operations please call 705-746-5598 and ask for Michael or Elaine. For those with vessels stored, we will get them as soon as we can. We estimate 2-3 weeks until the water is safe, please give us as much notice as possible.

we would like to thank everyone for another amazing season. which would not be possible without you! it makes the 12 and 14 hour days meaningful.

we would like to remind everyone that we are now on our fall hours and close at 6pm. we are also starting to do our fall work which means there is not always some in the store during the week. please call before you come.

as a heads up the store will be closed Sept 15th in the am due to a medical appointment.

Please note that Rogers wireless service is down across the country according to multiple sources on twitter. This means our Visa/MC/Debit will not work, we can only accept cash at the moment. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

Good Afternoon Everyone, We want to remind every one that as we are past the long weekend, we would ask that you please call before you come. We have started to do outdoor work and someone is not always in the store. If you do not get someone at the main line, you can try 705-791-1899

Also Bell Canada has not been very reliable of late, so for people that have been trying to call we apologize. We are at the mercy of very old equipment in some cases.

Yesterday, lightning struck one of the local cottages and it was completely consumed in the ensuing fire. Fortunately no one was injured.

What was amazing was the Georgian Bay / Sans Souci community coming together to support each other in times of tragedy.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to all of the people who came to help.

Good Afternoon to all of our Sans Souci Family!
We have some GREAT NEWS. As many of you are aware we have been negotiating with the LCBO regarding our license. We are very pleased to announce that we WILL be carrying LCBO products this year!
Unfortunately we were unable to get hard liquor , wine and coolers arranged in time for the long weekend. So please plan on bringing your products with you for this weekend. BUT WE HAVE BEER!
We wanted to take a moment to thank Mr Ashley and Mr Armour for thier support. It is amazing to see what we can accomplish as a team!
We hope you are all safe and well and look forward to seeing you soon.
