The day honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process.

This federal statutory holiday was created through legislative amendments made by Parliament.

Hi all,
Due to the dismal rain forecast for Saturday, One Horse Farm, Coyote Spices and Romi, have decided to wait till Sunday this week, for the market. Hope this doesn’t inconvenience anyone. Just pulled my sourdough rye breads out of the oven though, and managed to pick a bounteous bunch of beautiful beans, so hope to see you Sunday, and PLEASE pass the word on.
