The footage you’re seeing is an attempted arson by a local genius using a pop shoppe bottle filled with gasoline presumably that took place Tuesday night at 8:23pm at our 873 Bedford Hwy location, which was set to open the middle of next week. All of our stock is on the way, renovations were 90% completed, and the finishing touches were just being added. We are sharing this video just to bring awareness to what kind of malicious acts of destruction can take place in any community and how little some people think of how their actions will affect others. We have worked painstakingly through ups and downs with this business the past 3 years and really felt good about the new direction we were taking the store in. We consider this just another bump in the road that we have to get around in order to succeed. We’re grateful we had proper insurance and such amazing security set up by @wagnertech.ca (newly amped up now as well) and hope that all of our friends out there make sure their ducks are in a row in this regard as well.
We’re blessed that the damages were minor and that no one was hurt or injured as it could have gone much worse.
