It's that time of the year again. Advocaat has arrived along with a very tasty Highland Scotch cream liqueur in a reusable stainless-steel flask from the Benriach Distillery.

The perfect spiced rum for eggnog! Distilled in Guyana this Demerara rum is smooth and loaded with dried fruit, vanilla bean, cinnamon, clove, and ginger notes. Perfect with a boozy eggnog or on the rocks with a cigar. We got two cases in for December and its $37 a bottle including all taxes.

Some great new cocktail products have arrived from St. Georges of Alameda California. This small batch artisan producer is much sought after in higher end bars. The Bruto Americano, $52.75, is an American take on Campari with much more complexity. It's the perfect negroni or spritz base. The Absinthe has been a decade old project for the distillery. It's the traditional trinity of wormwood, fennel, and anise. Complex and over proof at 60% abv. We have just one case of the 200ml format at $38.75.

New rum discovery! The Plantation 3 Star rum is a complex blend of premium rums sourced from Jamaica's Long Pond Distillery, Trinidad's Trinidad Distillers Ltd, and Barbados's West Indies Rum Distillery. This rum is smooth and full of baking spice, biscuit, vanilla, subtle honeyed flowers, and mild oak. It is on average 11 years old. The perfect sipping or cocktailing rum. We have a case and its $54.25 a botttle.

An outstanding Biodynamic Viognier from Central Spain just arrived this week in the shop. Its super food friendly, with crisp acidity, and complex notes of white peach, lemon, and meadow flavours. Its $22 a bottle and we received just four cases.

Just got a call from the Krug Champagne Ambassador... we are the only shop in BC with Krug Champagne. We have 4 bottles left, its expensive at $475 including taxes, but $70 cheaper than anywhere downtown (if they had any). It's my favourite Champagne and well worth the splurge for Xmas, New Year's, or a special celebration.

Belgian beer fans in the family? We just received a small amount of Belgian beer gift packs for the holiday season. We have the Chimay tripacks, 750ml (2 bottles) Duchess De Bourgogne Flemish Ale, and the very tasty Lindeman Lambics.
