The Municipal Agriculture Office of Siniloan warmly congratulates Solanzo Integrated Farm for being named Best Agri-Tourism Site in Laguna Province by the Provincial Gawad Saka Awards. The awarding ceremony took place yesterday, December 4, 2024, at the Cultural Center in Sta. Cruz, Laguna, coinciding with the third day celebration of the 9th Organic Agriculture and 6th Agri-Fishery Congress.
Mr. John Ross Solanzo and Ms. Jo Catindig received the award, accompanied by Siniloan's Municipal Agriculturist, Engr. Carlo L. Realeza, and Technician, Ms. Rosemarie Salazar.

Congratulations po sa ating Municipal Agriculture and Fishery Council (MAFC) Chairman ng bayan ng Siniloan, G.Leonardo Ungriano sa pag gabay ni G. Alexander Flores na nagwagi bilang Outstanding Rice Farmer ng Laguna sa isinagawang Panlalawigang Gawad Saka sa Laguna.
Ang parangal ay iginawad kaalinsabay ng pagdiriwang ng 9th Laguna Organic Agriculture & 6th Agri-Fishery Congresss na ginanap sa Cultural Center Sta.Cruz,Laguna ngayong ika -4 ng Disyembre.2024.

Last November 20th, Siniloan Integrated National High School in Siniloan ,Laguna hosted a successful National Rice Awareness Month celebration! Two hundred students, along with Mayor Patrick Elis Z.Go,MAO Carlo L. Realeza and representatives from the Department of Agriculture (DA)Calabarzon, PhilRice Los Banos,Laguna, and ATI Calabarzon , participated in a day filled with engaging activities designed to highlight the importance of rice in the Philippines.

The event wasn't just a celebration; it was an educational journey! Students expanded their knowledge through:

- Rice Trivia Bonanza: A lively quiz tested students' knowledge of rice facts, from its history and cultural significance to its nutritional value.
- Rice Production Deep Dive: Experts provided insights into modern rice farming techniques, explaining the entire process from planting to harvest. The discussion included the latest machinery used to improve efficiency and yield.
- "Be Rice Responsible" (ABKD): This session used the memorable acronym ABKD—Adlay, Saba, Kamote, at Saging (Adlay, Banana, Sweet Potato, and Banana) ay ihalo sa kanin (should be mixed with rice); Brown rice ay dapat nating kainin (we should eat); Kanin ay huwag natin sayangin (let's not waste rice); Dapat bigas ng Pilipinas ang ating bilhin (we should buy Philippine rice)—to promote healthy eating habits and support local farmers. The catchy phrases emphasized diversifying diets with nutritious alternatives, choosing healthier brown rice, reducing food waste, and prioritizing locally grown rice.
- Career Coaching in Agriculture: Students explored exciting career paths within the agriculture sector, learning about the various opportunities available in this vital industry.

The event was led by key figures in the agricultural sector: Regional Director Fidel Libao of DA RFO Calabarzon, Director Rhemilym Z. Relado of PhilRice Los Baños, Laguna, and ATI Center Director Representative MS.Grace Laydia.Their presence and expertise added significant value to the day's activities.

The day was a blend of fun and learning, leaving the students with a deeper understanding of rice cultivation, its impact on the economy, and the promising career prospects in the agricultural field. The event successfully promoted rice awareness and inspired the next generation of agricultural leaders.

Tatlong Samahan ng mga Mangingisda ng bayan ng Siniloan na benepisaryo ng Zero Hunger Project sa ilalim Sustainable Livelihood Project ng DSWD at BFAR ang sumailalim sa tig da dalawang araw na pagsasanay na isinagawa ng mga kawani ng Bureau of Fishery and Aquatic Resources o (BFAR) Los,Baños,Laguna,sa pakikipag ugnayan ng Pamahalaang Bayan ng Siniloan sa pangunguna ni Mayor Patrick Z.Go, Siniloan Livelihood Workers at sa pamamagitan ng Municipal Agriculture Office at ng MSWDO
Ang pagsasanay ay sabay na isinagawa para sa dalawang grupo noong nakaraang November 12 hanggang November 13,2024 , sa Multi Purpose building at Sk hall sa Brgy.Wawa Siniloan,Laguna samantalang ang pagsasanay para sa huling grupo ay isinagawa din sa parehong lugar simula Nov.14 at nagtapos ng Nov.15,2024.
Ang mga samahan ng mga mangingisdang nagsipag sanay ay ang mga sumusunod:
1.Go asenso Sustainable Livelihood Project Association (SLPA) na may 21 miyembro at may proyektong -fabrication of fiber glass boat, repair and rental
at maaaring makatanggap ng kabuuang halaga na 315,000 thousand para sa kanilang panukalang proyekto.
2.Golden Wawa (SLPA) na may 16 na.miyembro at may panukalang proyekto na hito culture and fish processing at maaaring makatanggap ng kabuuang halaga na 240,000 para sa kanilang panukalang proyekto at ang ,
3.Pagbabago at pag unlad SLPA na may 22 miyembro at may proyektong tilapia culture in cage ay maaari ding makatanggap ng halagang 330,000 para sa kanilang panukalang proyekto.

Kanina ay isinagawa naman ang 2nd batch ng pamamahagi ng certified seeds sa 198 na magsasaka ng palay mula sa barangay Macatad at Halayhayin. Ito ay sa ilalim pa rin ng RCEF Seeds Program ng DA Philrice Los Banos.

Sa layunin ng Pamahalaang Lokal ng Siniloan at ng Municipal Agriculture Office na lalo pang maitaas ang ani at kita ng ating mga kababayamg magsasaka. Kahapon ay namahagi ng Hybrid Seeds sa pamamagitan ng National Rice Program ng Department of Agriculture sa 52 magsasaka upang taniman ang 60 ektaryang palayan sa ating bayan.

Upang higit na matulungan ang sektor ng pag gugulayan sa bayan ng Siniloan,ang Pamahalaang Bayan ng Siniloan sa pamamagitan ng ating Punumbayan Mayor Patrick Z.Go, Chairman ng komitiba ng Agrikultura ,Konsehal Boy Adofina at ng Municipal Agriculture Office sa pangunguna ni.Engr. Carlo Realeza ay naisagawa po nating muli ang makipag ugnayan o pakipag partnership sa isa sa mga institutional buyer ng gulay dito sa Luzon ang Agrea Agricultural System International Inc.
Pormal na nilagdaan kahapon (Nov 7,2024) ng mga mag - gugulay ang Memorandum of Agreement o kasunduan sa pagbili ng mga itatanim at aanihing gulay ng ating mga magsasaka . Kasama sa mga lumagda ang ilan sa mga.kinatawan ng ating mga.magsasaka mula sa Brgy..Macatad,Laguio,Liyang,Kapatalan,.Magsaysay at Llavac kasama si Engr. Carlo Realeza ng Mun. agriculture Office at Ms. Cherrie Atilano ng Agrea,na sinaksihan naman nina.Ms.Dinia Acero ng MAO Siniloan at nina Ms Celina Katimbang at Sonia Gonzales ng Agrea.
Sa pamamagitan po ng partneship nating ito, sigurado na po na may merkado ang mga gulay na aanihin.ng ating mga kababayang Siniloeños.
