জাতীয় হাইস্কুল প্রোগ্রামিং প্রতিযোগিতা" এ বছর থেকে হয়ে যাচ্ছে "জাতীয় শিশু কিশোর প্রোগ্রামিং প্রতিযোগিতা"। আজকের সিদ্ধান্ত মোতাবেক, প্রাইমারী স্কুলের জন্য থাকছে স্ক্র্যাচ ব্যবহার করে (প্রজেক্ট) প্রতিযোগিতা। আর হাইস্কুলের জন্য থাকছে আগের বছর গুলোর মতই প্রোগ্রামিং প্রতিযোগিতা। প্রোগ্রামিং প্রতিযোগিতায় কারিগরি সহযোগিতা দিচ্ছে Codemarshal.

গত তিন বছর ধরে, এই প্রতিযোগিতাটি স্কুলগামী শিক্ষার্থীদের প্রোগ্রামিং দক্ষতা যাচাই এর সবচেয়ে বড় প্ল্যাটফর্ম। যদিও, দুঃখজনক ভাবে, কলেজের শিক্ষার্থীরা এইবার অংশ নিতে পারছে না, কিন্তু স্কুলের শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য এই সুযোগ বিশাল।

এই বছর পরীক্ষামূলক ভাবে যে প্রতিযোগিতা আয়োজন করা হচ্ছে, তা সফল হলে, সামনের বছর থেকে হয়ত আর বড় পরিসরে এই প্রতিযোগিতা আয়োজন করা সম্ভব হবে।

আগের বছর গুলোতে NHSPC Mentors হিসাবে কাজ করা অথবা, নতুন কেউ যদি আমাদের একাডেমিক টিমে কাজ করতে আগ্রহী হন, তাহলে নিচের ফর্মটি ফিল আপ করতে অনুরোধ করছি। অতীতে NHSPC বিজয়ী শিক্ষার্থীদেরকে বিশেষ ভাবে অনুরোধ করছি এই কাজে অংশ নিতে।

Shahriar works at Southeast University & Codemarshal, and has served as a World Finals judge since 2003.

Shahriar reminds contestants to view the big picture: "In my understanding the bigger motto of ICPC is winning hearts, not winning contests. So yes, winning contests will make you feel good, but if you can work for betterment of other contestants you will feel even better. Good luck!!"

We thank Shahriar for the huge amounts of time and effort he and all World Finals judges spend to create the Battle of the Brains!

The World Finals judges are computer science experts from both the business world and academia who contribute to the problem set, establish the judging criteria, and oversee the judging process during the Battle of the Brains. Their dedication to the field of computer science and desire to encourage the next generation of programmers motivates them to contribute countless hours to ICPC and the World Finals.

২০১৫ সালের সাফল্যের পর বড় আকারে এবং বিস্তৃত পরিসরে শুরু হচ্ছে জাতীয় হাইস্কুল প্রোগ্রামিং প্রতিযোগিতা (এনএইচএসপিসি)-২০১৬। গত বছরের এপ্রিল-মে মাসে প্রথমবারের মতো আয়োজিত এই প্রতিযোগিতায় প্রায় ১০ হাজার শিক্ষার্থী অংশ নেন। এ বছর ১৫-১৬ হাজার প্রতিযোগী অংশ নেবেন বলে আশাবাদী আয়োজকরা। আগামী ১৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি ‘জাতীয় হাইস্কুল প্রোগ্রামিং প্রতিযোগিতা (এনএইচএসপিসি) ২০১৬’- এর আনুষ্ঠানিক ঘোষণা দেওয়া হবে। সেই ঘোষণায় থাকবে কবে, কখন, কোথায় হবে প্রতিযোগিতা। এমনকি প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশ নিতে কোথায় নিব্ন্ধন করতে হবে তাও সেদিন ঘোষণা করা হবে। বিস্তারিত জানা যাবে http://www.nhspc.org/ এই ঠিকানায়, তবে ১৪ ফেব্রুয়ারির পরে।
