The illustration was inspired by Foreign Friends winemaker Leila, who is reserved, independent and grounded. Our (Eastern Seaboard) long weekend pick-me-up: Think Bloody Mary’s sister - only funner, sexier and more delicious.

MAKE BREE’S BLOODY MARIA (serves 1)
🔥 In a shaker, combine:
- 60ml (2 shots)
- Juice of half a lemon
- Juice of half a lime
- 4 dashes Worcestershire
- 4 dashes Smoked Tabasco
- 4 dashes hot sauce (you can add extra, we did)
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper
- Teaspoon of wholegrain mustard
🔥 Then add 120ml (4 shots) tomato juice to the shaker and shake without ice.
🔥 Pour into a tall glass with lottttts of ice.
🔥 Garnish with a lemon slice, an olive & a huge ass pickle.

Tasty enough to take to a friends place for dinner, fun enough to stand on its own if said dinner turns into…well…a disco. This wine is up and about, works chilled or not - we say chill it but we’re nothing if not consistent with our love for a chilled red. It’s juicy but also dry, not too heavy but not too light. So basically if Golidlocks wanted wine, not porridge, this would be her ‘just right’.

Linda started Saint + Sinner after suffering with health concerns and struggling to still enjoy a bev (or three) without feeling crappy from sugar and preservatives. We spoke to Peta from @sabiwabi.wine about Chardonnay, Semillon & Drinking Pet Nat in Hot Tubs. 💅🏻 Read her full story via the link in our bio. Peta’s label draws inspiration from the ancient Japanese philosophy of Wabi-Sabi; finding beauty amongst imperfection. If you ask us, Sabi Wabi wines are punchy, unexpected and never fail to please us. Peta recently won the 2022 Young Gun of Wines Winemaker’s Choice Award (how’s that for an accolade), so our guesses are that a lot (like, a lot) of other people like what she makes too. Including us, obvs.

There’s no ‘right’ way to make and drink wine: Galit from ⚡️ @theotherright ⚡️ After moving to Australia from Israel in 2009, for what was only meant to be an 18 month stint, Alex and Galit made their way in the winemaking game “organically and slowly”. After fermentation, they always start on the final wines together. Their varying opinions on flavours, the market and wine in general, dare we say, make the perfect blend. Now in their 10th year, it’s hard to believe they never planned to make their wines commercial (on behalf of everyone that has tried their wines, thank f**k they did).
